I was bullied

Throughout most of my childhood because of the way I carried myself, my looks and all. Not to mention I was raised in the big city where if you weren’t in the right clique at the start you were a victim. Popular, jock, member of a gang etc.
i remember being held down while they laughed at me and thought it would be a riot to make me eat dirt and literally shoveled it into my mouth and held it shut forcing me to swallow.
Having my pants and shoes stolen leaving me to walk home in shirt, underwear, ripped up socks. Scared to have to explain that to my mother. And rumors being spread about how I loved to take clothes off. But no one believing how miss pretty nice and wealthy could ever do something bad so I was the victim and pervert.
Well times are different now right? Less evil in the public school world

I don't like to think back but I was bullied most time during my school days. I got to higher education and I thought that we were all mature back then. Wrong. I was bullied. I found a job that I liked in my twenties. We'd be all professionals. Nah, got bullied there too. Finally, at a ripe old age of 45 I just told them to shove it because I've been tested, I do have dyslexia and it's been recognised lately as being a handicap. I'm not any less right now but the bullying has halved. Hurray for small mercies!

Bullies will remain. I was bullied pretty hard too. It’ll never end.

@SW-User I’m sorry to hear that

Bullying at school level is hideous. But a microcosm of the adult world, only the aggressive gestures are more subtle when you grow up. I wish people could just leave be those who are different to them 😔
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
It's distressing to see how little things have changed in the 40 or so years since I was in a similar situation.
SW-User
@ineedadrink It hasn’t changed because humans haven’t changed. We just find slightly different ways to do it.

I had the longest hair in school so it was easy getting accepted. Played chess and went to concerts. It hurts to see you treated so poorly. I had the same treatment but it was my Father and teacher being the bully.

Your story sucks I'm so sorry to hear that...:( It's really terrible, I'm sure they remember it with shame now they've grown up, and you be sure too. Bad karma to them!
I was really bad in highschool, wearing always black and taking drugs, they'd either call me a satanist or a junkie so I rarely spoke to anyone apart from a friend or two.
YescaLillian · 22-25, F
@being people are cruel and while I believe in karma, seeing how these people have big houses, new cars, successes through like their fb pages showing up on my suggested ads. The world can be cruel too
being · 36-40, F
@YescaLillian happiness isn't in big houses and cars, it's usually what's in them... Let them go, they have a big job forgiving themselves anyways... Strengthen yourself and look at those who care about you ❤️🌷

Being a foster kid i always had a target on my back , my way to stop it was to tell them i was a foster because i killed my parents. Of course i didn't really, but extreme bullying called for extreme measures. It worked and even got me pulled out of a few schools.
akindheart · 61-69, F
Can i give some insight? all meant nicely. People bully when they see your confidence is low and they can affect you. I know it is hard to get tough but please don't be meek
YescaLillian · 22-25, F
@akindheart oh I agree, I wasn’t like I am today and yeah once I got put down I was easy prey. I know that

{@yescalillian] i was bullied as a kid but nowhere as cruel and merciless as that. the is an old saying there are nothing cruel as kids and this is not proof i do not know what is
YescaLillian · 22-25, F
@smiler2012 I have heard the same saying and experienced it
Rhode57 · 56-60, M
No times havnt changed its just talked about more and less done about it so kids still get away with it thanks to do gooders and pc who tell us not to smack or punish kids so they become spoilt little brats .
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
I think it's just as bad, it looks different because now it's also online. My niece was getting told to kill herself by a group of boys who threatened to beat her up and would post about her in school group chats. They got arrested. A guy I knew got a ukulele smashed over his head, it was really bad.

I remember taking a brick to the head and shin in highschool and a group of people saying they were gonna stab me. It's a really fucked up time in people's lives in highschool.

I remember a crowd of 100 people shouting at this kid outside his house when he'd just moved there. Must have been horrible for him.
CJNature · M
It’s awful you had to go through that. So sorry.

Because of my own anxiety, I was a bit of a loner. I was an easy target for bullying. It still exists, but certainly less tolerance for it.
deadgerbil · 26-30
That's horrible. I got bullied bc of my race but nothing like what you went through with having to eat dirt etc
YescaLillian · 22-25, F
@deadgerbil that sucks!!!
Yeah it was a close to everyday thing. I wasn’t the only one who did but yeah…dirt sucks
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
It was the same with me. Fuck em.

They're more savage now with the guns.

They left me alone for a while when I punched one of my abusers.
Rhode57 · 56-60, M
I to was bullied because I wouldnt go with the incrowd and stood up for what I believed was right .
MissyChrissy · 18-21, F
No times are not different. I am still bullied at school.
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
Bullies know who to pick on and know who to not pick on.

Just have to be strategic in how you stand up for yourself.

People nowadays are getting killed and handicapped in fights it’s not worth it
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Heavenlywarrior you are 100% correct. I am only 5'3" and believe me, no one picks on me. I just have that air about me that says i will fight back.
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
@akindheart right they know and don’t want that smoke!
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Heavenlywarrior its about power. once you back them down, their power is gone.
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
Wth… it’s crazy this was peoples reality… I just had one of them faces that people didn’t fuck with me… or thought I was a thug… I had bad friends but I wasn’t bad
YescaLillian · 22-25, F
@Heavenlywarrior mhm and others endured worse.
I was maybe a 6/10 on the savage scale
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
@YescaLillian what country?
Sjones13 · 41-45, M
That’s sad 😢
Josh1454 · M
This sucks. Luckily I was big for my age for a long time. My friend was a “nerd”. People would pick on him. So I would protect him.
benJohnson99 · 18-21, M
