I Have Anxiety

IMO among the worst combinations a person could ask for: being hyper-sexual and anxious. This means whenever I have anxiety I feel incredibly insecure and horny at the same time since the anxiety causes my libido to skyrocket. I've made regretful decisions when trying to handle the situation in the past: realized just to lock myself in my room & cry it out or call councilors over the phone but definitely not try to interact with my friends and family

It is the exact same with me. Your post and your comment.

I was molested as a child & it left me being hyper-sexual (as opposed to asexual/ little to know interest in sex/ fear of sex). Situations which would normally cause a person's libido to go down cause mine to rise: getting angry/ upset etc
My anxiety is also the result of childhood abuse from family that ultimately left me having PTSD which I've managed to get treated.
You seem to be associating sex with reassurance. Though it can be a good way to find it, as you realize it shouldn't be the only way in your life to find it. Did something happen to you as a child that makes it seem like that's the way to find reassurance?

I know how you feel. I tend to keep to myself during my anxiety moments. Frustrating.

it can be very difficult to control sometimes

That's rough, but not that uncommon.
@sgrl I wondered if that was the case. I had a situation that occurred when I was around fourteen that changed my thoughts about sex as well, (I really had very few "urges" going through puberty). In that situation, a male "friend" of my mom, attempted to have his way with me. (I was a very petite and feminine boy). Though he was unsuccessful (I was pretty fisty) I did develope a joy in being forced into sexual acts from either males or females. It definitely didn't turn me asexual.
