I used to suffer from it daily because sometimes no matter the methods of calming and staying in the present moment it’ll still wrap its arms around you and just won’t let go. Tapping finally brought some relief though. So did getting a book on CBT therapy and writing down key points that made my brain slow down enough to pay attention to the information being taken in. And cutting off triggering things like coffee and acidic foods while heightening my protein and healthy foods intake. That alone helped the rewiring that was needed.

But these days it still tries to grip me too tightly just to remind me that it’s still a part of it, so I simply let it. I acknowledge it. Breathe through it. And wait for it to pass, which it always does. That’s the biggest remedy there is for it. Acknowledgment and trying to find your peace with its existence as it slowly loses its grip on you. Don’t feed it and it will starve. …easier said than done though.
