Possibly don't talk so much?

Okay, this is about me... not you...
Anxiety sometimes makes me over explain and in some situations that can be really bad ,because you just handed someone ammunition.
Just remember you don't need any excuses if you don't want to do something and a five-page explanation usually brings frustration not clarity.
Sometimes saying less is a lot more.

Especially in work setup where they want to squeeze out every last word off you so that they can twist em. Say less and let them guess.

@DareToSayIT I always think I have to explain things to people, when I don't want to do something they've asked me to do, it's more personal life then work

@Justmeraeagain I know it’s not my place to ask, but did you have a difficult childhood? Most of the anxiety roots from past.

@DareToSayIT
I haven't really made it a secret that I've had some abuse in my background.
I choose share where and when to talk about it, however.

@Justmeraeagain My apologies, I wasn’t aware of that. It’s clearly a real and distressing experience, and the lack of broader understanding in society only adds to the difficulty of coping with it.

@DareToSayIT
No need to apologize, I'm just very straightforward.

@Justmeraeagain Have you seen a therapist? I’m not recommending one but wondering if it has worked in your case.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@DareToSayIT yes, and every time I have tried I must get the worst therapists.
The last one compared the death of my husband to the death of her cat .
the ones before that just dismissed everything I said and would not believe me when I said I needed a different approach.
I'm not a very confrontational person, but who wants to go into therapy having to confront the therapist all the time?
