Can I ignore my jury duty letter? Or is that too risky? I really don’t feel comfortable attending.

Once I sat on jury for deciding a punishment for a guy who had stabbed someone to death. I must have looked disturbed because I was dismissed fairly quickly. The rest of the times I was sent home before getting picked. I hate jury duty. But I always just reschedule.
