Sometimes I feel stupid asking so many questions at work

I was always told that it was a good thing to ask questions at work. The people at my last job never made me feel stupid for asking questions over and over again but my new job is. One of my coworkers keeps saying “you’ll never learn unless you make mistakes first”. And she’s even moving to a different position at my job and it’s hard to not feel like she’s tired of me and doing it because of me

I have a learning disability and it takes me a while to learn everything. I’ve been working there for about a month and a half now
I always encourage new people at work to ask questions. How else are you supposed to know how to do things? I also tell people it's okay if they don't get everything exactly right all the time because it's stressful when you feel like you're expected to get things right on the first try.

It can be tiring to train people on top of your regular duties, but it's just part of a job.
I doubt your co-worker is changing positions because of you.

I hope it gets easier soon!

Sometimes it’s because someone is stressed and not because of you

@MrBrownstone yea my coworkers are stressed out a lot there. I work at a clinic and it’s fast paced and so busy and there are so many rude patients

@carebear90 All you can do is your best effort. Atleast you are working

as long as they're patient and constructive when you make mistakes...are they?

@carebear90 don't be too hard on yourself when you do make mistakes ...it is a good way to learn!
