I Have Anxiety

I have anxiety, but I just had a good idea (inspired by @diablesse ‘s post.)

Next time I’m having overwhelming feelings, I can visualize turning down the volume knob on an old-fashioned stereo system. I can imagine that I’m turning the volume down on my feelings.

I've heard of that tactic but haven't tried it. Sounds effective! What I sometimes do is either A. Remind myself, oh it's just anxiety right now (and often the fear diminishes even a bit), or B. I say 'Blank' to myself, and picture my mind being wiped clean or a blank mind. That second one has helped a few times. It SUCKS, anxiety, I'm sorry you go to through it too🌺😘
