I Have Anxiety

Panic and anxiety disorders are very real and can be very intense. I've been battling Generalized Anxiety Disorder comorbid with Panic Disorder with bouts of Agoraphobia. I also have Major Depressive Disorder. It is not at all uncommon for anxiety and depression to go hand in hand. I've controlled it fairly well with medication for years. I'm going to therapy to help make the lifestyle changes to further improve my situation.

I'd like to improve on techniques such as deep breathing and meditation. Exercising the mind, just as important as the body and soul. Best of luck to anyone else dealing with an anxiety disorder!

There's several books I recommend, don't know if they will help you or not because everyone is different but thought I'd suggest it anyways.

One of them is called Dare: The New Way to End Anxiety and Stop Panic Attacks.. the only thing I don't like about this book like other users said is that he's heavily against medication. I don't take medication but I cert. don't shun it, everything else is golden though.

This book is largely responsible for me getting slightly better, I say slightly because panic never goes away.

Get Out of Your Mind and Into Your Life: The New Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

I would def. have a look at those two books, both of those books are basically about something called acceptance therapy, which may or may not work for you but I know it will probably help ease some of the panic attacks because you can shorten them by a lot.
