I’ve become so antisocial…or perhaps it’s the heat ?

It’s finally starting to cool down, sort of, but it’s still humid and muggy. Some new neighbors were throwing a birthday party, with about 20 LOUD guests. My friend, the retired cop, asked if I wanted to go, I thanked him, but I didn’t. I’ve been soaking in the shower, drinking iced drinks and listening to Greek music.

Periodically the neighbors’ guests are wandering around inside the building "because it’s so interesting". The party’s being held out back, so there’s less noise when they’re back there. 😳

I really want them to go home. They sang Happy Birthday, several of them sound rather tipsy; what’s left ?

I'm a bit like you, but I don't classify myself as antisocial. I'm totally convinced that many partygoers have limited brain cells and can't be near as interesting as I am😁

@Ontheroad The thing is, people think there is only social and antisocial. But there's such a thing as asocial. You don't necessarily hate people, you just really appreciate your alone time.

@LordShadowfire very much agree... I don't hate people, not at all, and there are times and certain small groups I enjoy. I do however, appreciate and want (maybe need) my alone time.

@Ontheroad Exactly. You're asocial, or introverted if you prefer.

@LordShadowfire yup, introverted is the word... always have been.
@Ontheroad Same, here.
