How I KNOW I am absolutely exhausted...(besides the obvious)..

I start crying for silly reasons. Like last night, I started thinking about my little dog Sugar, and how much I miss her, and started crying almost as though she had just died...and she died MORE than 17 years ago.

You would think that a good night's sleep would cure all that nonsense, but it did not. I am still tearing up every time I think of her.

I guess it's going to take TWO days to recover! Whew! I REALLY overdid it!

:) for me, it doesn't take exhaustion to tear up over old memories, whether from 17 years ago or 50 years ago. All it takes is a few quiet moments to reflect on what was, or who was, or who is. Happy tears are like private celebrations, best enjoyed alone, in quiet times when there are no distractions.
I may cry about lost - gone people (all kinds) all the time, it is irrelevant my state of fatigue or what have you.
They are my precious Kids and Family in every sense.

There is no linear timeline (or expiration date, for that matter)
for grief <3
It is OK to miss them dear,
just make sure to take care of YOU 🤗🤗🤗

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON ☺☺☺ Thank you! 🤗🤗🤗
@4meAndyou you're welcome🤗
Hey Man, I still cry for my dog, and a few cats. Sometimes that "empty" place overflows a little. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

@UnderLockDown Awww. I'm sorry that that empty place is so prevalent among us all. I feel for YOURS.

I can deal with everything with OUT getting weepy, when I am not so tired!
If I think about my dogs that I've lost over the years, it can bring me to tears.

@BizSuitStacy IKR? The thing is, that we don't often dwell upon them, or their loss. We are stronger than that. Unless we become physically exhausted, I suppose.

I go through the same raw and often sharper emotions remembering some mistake or bad judgment of mine, that was entirely avoidable.

@Ohplease47 The thing is, while I remember my mistakes and try to learn from them, they do not, normally, make me cry. It takes being on the ragged end of exhaustion to do that to me.

It sounds like you did. It's too bad you can't go out for a meal tomorrow and let someone wait on you for a change.

You need a good old fashioned snowball fight.
