I am unsure

I know that feeling altogether too well! People either recognize what I am doing and ignore or reject, or they just don't get it at all. Mostly they don't get it and I wonder what I am doing wrong. Not that i have been a complete failure, i have actually had a lot of luck -- but almost exclusively with women i have gotten to know well without getting permanently friendzoned. But flirting? Making that one on one connection in a short time? Very rare for me. Sorry to hear you are going through that, it takes a lot out of a person.

Stop trying to flirt. Just be yourself and authentic. I couldn’t flirt to save my life, yet I realize that when I was with someone I was really attracted to, I didn’t need to try and flirt, it came naturally, and it was subtle. Let everything happen naturally, and see how it goes. I should warn you that even being your authentic self is no guarantee for a good relationship. It got me nowhere.

Flirting can be tough. Like you want the fact you like someone to come across but not too much so you dont scare them off. Or too little so they dont know you are flirting

Same. I do everything to be nice to people and really outgoing, I'm way too shy to flirt anymore because of stories of men harassing women. It's like, I'm afraid to say anything because I don't need something on me just for trying to be a nice guy who wanted to say hi and maybe see how things go from there. So I just kind of gave up :(

There's a pretty girl who works at the coffee shop, I only know her name, but she's super nice and I would like to ask her but she's working, and I feel like the other guys there are very protective. So yeah.
