I was forced into a stressful situation at the front door of my building

Someone in my building said he was trying to put together a "building pickleball group." He approached me as I was coming in from a walk and I guess he startled me because he said, "Sorry to scare you." Well, he didn't scare me. I just wasn't expecting an encounter so early in the day.

Anyway, he gave me a flyer. But I don't know if I really want to do this. I mean, I guess it would be an easy way to meet people and socialize without having to actually confront them. And I like the idea of doing something sporty in addition to always working out at the gym. But it seems like a pretty intensive commitment, and I'm concerned it could lead to a loss of my personal space. I am trying to be less isolated, but I don't know if this is the best way to do it.

I was hoping for a stress-free weekend, but now I have to consider this.

The game will be played outdoors so your personal space will not be invaded.
I say give it a go.
It is not as if you need to mingle after playing your game/s. Could be fun.
