No, most people do NOT want the upper picture; she has anorexia.
@IAmNothing First of all, there are guys "out there" for EVERY type of woman; and guys here have responded to a VERY wide range of women.

Second, to address your issue head-on, you DON'T need to look like an Auschwitz survivor to "be hot and wanted by someone".

Unhealthily LOW BMI isn't any better than unhealthily HIGH BMI.

Third, your body is already working against you. I think you need to explore getting your hormones in balance in order to help yourself as much as possible.

That way, mods to your food intake, exercise, etc., are more likely to work.

@SomeMichGuy I couldn’t agree more with you. Very well explained.
@Fertilization I am honored to have done something well enough to earn such praise!

@IAmNothing There was a story on local news about a woman whom I think is in her 50s? but who has been measured to have the metabolism of a 30-sthg-yr-old. She had muscle definition. She attributed it to her weight training and diet.

But weight training + high-intensity bursts + rational changes to diet are far more likely to help, I think, than doing a typical diet.

Remember, you need a SUSTAINABLE lifestyle change.
IAmNothing · 31-35, F
@SomeMichGuy unfortunately for me i build muscle easily that's what's happening currently
@IAmNothing I'm not seeing that, but muscle is good.
NOS4R2 · 41-45
To get in shape for women it takes longer. A LOT longer. (Smaller muscle fibres than men and smaller mass of muscle to start with)
You could be looking at 6 months or more before you start to see the muscle youve grown under the fat layer. A year before you start seeing the body you want.
But stick at it. Its frustrating i know, but change takes time, a lot if time. And a lot of consistency.
You arent just developing muscle, you are also developing good habits, good routines and a healthier lifestyle. Which will help you KEEP the body you are working towards.
If you have never had good muscle mass before, you are starting from scratch, and for women that's REALLY hard work, and it gets harder the older you become.
You can help your muscle mass with focusing on raising protein input and reducing starches and carbs l(ike bread, pasta, rice and grains). Have small amounts of protein at each meal with veggies. Cut out ALL sugar and processed foods, they only cause inflammation anyway.
Glutamate and creatine supplements will help your endurance and recovery in your workouts.
Stop long cardio like cycling or exercise classes, change it to short burst cardio like three minuites at max effort, then rest, then another burst (it stops cortisol getting too high which causes fat retention).
Research weight loss and muscle gain for women - its different to men. Maybe even look at what is coming out for menopausal women as you are also suffering from a hormonal disruption.
Last of all, give yourself a year. Muscle is hard to build, but its like a bike going down a hill - it builds speed. The more you build, the more you build next work out. Eventually that muscle builds enough that it really starts burning calories and finally enough fat burns away that you start to see all your work. After that, it just gets faster and faster.
But you are going to have to slog it out for a long time before that, its just the way it is for women.
It sux

@IAmNothing what is your workout schedule per week, like howmany days a week and how long have you been doing it?
IAmNothing · 31-35, F
@NOS4R2 5 to 6 times a week for an hour to 1.5 hours. Mix of cardio and weights. Been doing this since February
NOS4R2 · 41-45
@IAmNothing Ah.
Thats too much for someone in your condition.
You are probably causing more inflamamtion and damage than anything else.
Rest is also a massive part of health.

You need to research more. All you are doing is stressing your body, tearing your muscles, weaking your system keeping it in constant repair mode. You might even be working against your body with that sort of intense schedule. You need, at minimum, a day between workouts for recovery.
BlueVeins · 22-25
I'm sorry. :\

Is it possible that you're gaining weight because you're gaining muscle? Working out isn't a very efficient way to lose weight for most people; you're probably better off focusing on your diet and stuff.
IAmNothing · 31-35, F
@BlueVeins im hardly eating tjese days
BlueVeins · 22-25
@IAmNothing That's... very unhealthy and also not effective. You need to eat healthy, fibrous foods if you want to lose weight. Brown rice, beans, chicken, fruits, green vegetables, all that stuff. You're only hurting yourself if you're cutting calories to the extreme.
IAmNothing · 31-35, F
@BlueVeins it worked in the past
astrosandorbits · 26-30, M
First of all no the first girl is far too skinny and doesn't look good at all. Second, in order to lose weight you should focus more on what you're eating and how much you're eating. Dont stop going to the gym but focus more on diet than anything else. You can do it!
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@IAmNothing what foods are you eating with your 1000 cal/day? I can help offer lots of suggestions
IAmNothing · 31-35, F
@Jenny1234 fruit, a sandwich, water, unsweet icedtea, soup, cucumber slices. Small portions of whatever dinner i make
NOS4R2 · 41-45
@IAmNothing oh my!
You need MEAT, or at the very minimum a protien drink.
Living off such nutrient weak foods isn't helping your insides be healthy.
Imagine your body is a machine with all these working parts that need fuel and oil and antifreeze and lubricant to work properly.
If you dont supply all that your machine will stop working properly. Its chunk along, but not very well.
You need a shitload of nutients for your gut and brain and your micrbiome to fuel all your systems to work FOR you, to do what they are meant to. You need protein, amino acids, fats, vitamins, peptides blah blah blah.
Stop thinking in calories and start thinking in nutrients.
Bread is a waste of calories.
People think its all 'calories in vs calories out'. Its not. Its about fueling your body so it works better, burns energy better.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
No, not everybody wan ts "this" in the top photo. She looks positively unhealthy. And if you are working out, remember that muscle weighs more by volume than fat, so there is a difference between building muscle mass and simply losing weight.

@IAmNothing Do you mean Hashimoto's thyroiditis or the associated Hashimoto's encephalopathy?
IAmNothing · 31-35, F
@SomeMichGuy thyroid
BuzzedLightyear · 61-69
Forget the cardio. Lift hard and lift big. Go with your genes. Pump the protein. Minimize the carbs. You'll see a difference.

BuzzedLightyear · 61-69
@IAmNothing i understand but that's never going to happen. embrace who you are and make that your best life and love yourself.
Infamous607 · 46-50, M
Why would you want to look like that. It looks sick and unattractive. And about the nobody wants this comment. I have never been with a woman because of how her body looks . And ive been with many.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
You have to face one reality that can't change. You don't have the skeletal structure to look like that. You are larger boned than the girl you pictured as your dream look.

Ok but the trick to weight loss is nutrition and cardio. And not eating excess calories. You want your calories to be nutrient dense.
IAmNothing · 31-35, F
@Jenny1234 ive increased my cardio
Fertilization · 36-40, F
Get your thyroid checked.
IAmNothing · 31-35, F
@Fertilization i have hashimoto's
Fertilization · 36-40, F
@IAmNothing And maybe due to this.☹
Tminus6453 · M
Gym isnt the problem... try low carb and intermitten fasting
IAmNothing · 31-35, F
@Tminus6453 i don't eat much pf anything anymore
Freetime · 56-60, M
How long have you been going? Besides weight, did you take any body measurements so you can see if they are changing?
IAmNothing · 31-35, F
@Freetime ive been going nonstop for 3 months now. No im not trying to get more disgusted
Freetime · 56-60, M
@IAmNothing If you think about it, it's really those measurements that you want to change. Other people don't see your weight, they see your size. I understand that you might not like to know the current measurements, but the point is to see them going down as time goes on (no matter what your weight does).
Ramrod · 46-50, M
Well it would take a whole lot of gym for you to get the body in the top pic. :(
Fertilization · 36-40, F
@Ramrod or Ozempic. People are going crazy over this drug. I would never prefer this to anyone.
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
Getting fit is more than just going to the gym, either way the results aren’t instant.
