Ok should I sell my house and move to like a condo or townhouse? For cost reasons

No lie the expenses are killing me and I'm really picking and choosing what to be behind on. I don't even live in a crazy huge house. 3 beds 2 baths average size older home. Like come on.

The thing with a condo is everything inside is still your responsibility. When my Ex's condo furnace needed to be replaced, she was on the hook for it. HOA fees can be expensive and their rules prohibitive. The biggest cost difference I can think of is that the HOA should be taking care of the outside. My Ex's HOA takes care of the grounds, siding, roof, and even brings in exterminators because of wasps. She doesn't need to shovel snow or cut grass. OTOH. the windows have seen better days, and I'm not sure she could replace them because they have restrictions on any unit looking different from another.

I don't know if there's an ROI there or not.

Condos have huge and unexpected fees.

Just my opinion, struggle through. It will be worth it 20 years from now.
Maybe get a roommate to offset the expenses.

Again, just my opinion.

Rent out one of your rooms, you'll be fine.

The average monthly HOA costs in a condo/town house are $400-$500
