My wife's routine at night is to have some lemon balm herbal tea, and then take melatonin.
FlowersNButterflies · 61-69, F
@DrWatson It does more than that. It stopped my atonic seizures completely. It is anti inflammatory, neuro protective, helps manage pain.
@DrWatson @FlowersNButterflies
Omg I just seen this. I should try this. Thank you!
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@FlowersNButterflies She does take the tea because of its anti inflammatory properties as well. I am glad you have found it helpful for you.

I second the CBD oil suggestion. I use it myself and I sleep so very good when I do (although my dreams can be pretty messed up…just weird, not bad)
Fullmetal · 46-50, M
@ImpeccablyImperfect does it have THC in it?
FlowersNButterflies · 61-69, F
@Fullmetal Almost none. But if you are in a State where it is allowed, some people get 1:1.
ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
@Fullmetal most of them have a tiny bit, but I believe you can find them without zero THC. The one I use has a ratio of 100mg CBD to .27 mg THC…so very little

Have a smoke, eat an edible 🤔
Or have a shot. 🥃
@Montanaman works for me
Fullmetal · 46-50, M
@Montanaman all 3 please!!

It's never worked for me
It makes me extremely drowsy though, but I do not fall asleep quickly. I may get 3 or 4 hours of sleep on it, then wake up zombie tired.

Diphenhydramine is the best I've found but even with that, if I'm not relaxed enough, I won't sleep
deadteddy · 26-30, F
Take a second tablet? Sometimes it’s the only way it works for me
@deadteddy
I'm concerned that I'll oversleep, but I'll try. 😥
OnePatheticClown · 51-55, M
Oh. Here's a training video to put you to sleep

Try benadryl.
That worked for me for years. @LeopoldBloom
carpediem · 61-69, M
Try tart cherry juice. You can buy it with valerian root. Drink between 4-8 ounces 30 minutes before bed. Enjoy your restful sleep.
@carpediem
Thank you so much! I will.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
It doesn't work so much to help me fall asleep as it does to keep me from waking up as much. I'm so groggy sometimes.
Dawgsfan3 · 41-45, M
Do you always have trouble falling asleep
Dawgsfan3 · 41-45, M
@mindstruggle Same with me and I stop drinking caffeine early afternoon
@Dawgsfan3
I only drink coffee during the first hour of my workday.
Dawgsfan3 · 41-45, M
@mindstruggle I drink soda for breakfast & lunch then try to keep it just water. Sometimes I have a lot on my mind
i know a guy who uses cbd oils and swears by it
@mindstruggle it's good for other things too like anxiety
@beermeplease
I’m getting one.
@mindstruggle let me know how it works for you
Riemann · 31-35, M
I had a 9 hour shift with a lack of sleep and I was fasting. Took an hour of nap. Trying to sleep for the last 3 hours.
FlowersNButterflies · 61-69, F
Magnesium Glycinate, Tart Cherry and Large dose CBD Hemp Oil.
Dawgsfan3 · 41-45, M
Sometimes sleeping pills don’t work for me either
BLP11520 · 61-69, M
Try a long afternoon walk to wear you out
It never worked for me either.
It's never worked for me.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
Sleeping pills
Same. When I got it checked with my endocrinologist, it turns out that it's because my TSH is a bit high, but fortunately not due to any diseases but just due to some life style changes and malnutrition... My sleep is beginning to improve after adding iodized salt and selenium to my daily diet
