I mean...when I worked full time, had decent credit, had a nice little nest egg in the bank, and had no felonies or anything else on my background check, I still did not qualify for a modest rental house.
So...maybe it's not that we aren't adulting properly, it's that the "system" is designed to have us fail.

@DearAmbellina2113 we are set up for failure, that is for sure.
You ever wonder though how riff raff people never seem to have problems finding a place to stay despite not being able to pay rent, prior evictions, and probably a criminal record?

@Punches because they get benefits from the government for having 5+ kids, or disabilities, etc. It really is an unfair setup.

It just seems like everything in life is that way - You work your butt off, stay out of trouble, try to earn something, sacrifice, do the "right" things, but then get told "It is not enough".
Meanwhile some undeserving prick who hasn't done jack sh*t to earn it just has it handed to them.
Like the harder you try, the worse things get.

@DearAmbellina2113 Kind of like when we were in our early 20's and there was the party crowd. Drinking, drugs, etc. All the things we were told not to do.
But somehow they go on to have a decent life while those of us who did the "right" thing and stayed clean - we are in BS positions now.
The only thing we can really do NOW is - do not put much effort in something unless results are almost immediate AND remember, "Hard work might pay off in time but laziness pays off now."
Hey I do just the minimum to get by.
