How tf do people afford to live alone nowdays?

Even if I wanted to live by myself, there is no way I could afford it on my own. I don't know how anyone survives without a roommate or S.O. to help financially.

Our apartment manager informed us that if we stay and renew our lease, the rent will go up to $3000 per month. Um EXCUSE ME??? How tf do y'all think we're gonna magically come up with a thousand extra dollars a month????

This country really needs to put a tight leash on these predatory fucking landlords. 😤

Are you sure that's legal? That's a 50 percent increase in your rent, there should be legal limits as to how much any landlord can raise the rent. I'd check on that if I were you.
