@MethDozer that factor is certainly relevant, but there's other sports that could have been just as accessible to the poor (baseball, for instance). But football/soccer has far more appeal than just being accessible, and the question states what is the most interesting sport?

@MethDozer Its not. I generally go to one or two races a year. Get a weekend pass, so I can watch all the support races. The paddock passes are expensive but thats no different to hiring a box for a football game.

To be fair the NHRA has turned drag racing into that as well in recent decades and irs ruined it. Auto racing of any sort js at its best when jts no prep, the cars and not the drivers are the celebrities, and theg are designed, built, and maintianed by dudes i. Thejr garages on a budget instead of high dollar sponsorships to see who can throw the most money.
