Its common in some jobs especially in combat. We want the women to look like all the other soldiers so the terrorist don't single them out just for being a woman.

I was pretty psyched about it too when I heard it. I don't think women should blend in with men. We should be loud and proud because we're capable of doing their jobs blindfolded!

I would say that it's up to each individual woman. If she wants to blend in, and if it's not coming from a place of "needing" to blend in due to pressure put on her, then sure. If she wants to let her long hair be more noticed, then she should rock that look! My two cents, anyhow.

Been too long coming. I know she can take a hit. She got dropped at that Viking-packer game in the cold. Finished the gane with a broken wrist after clearing concussion protocol. She took a tough hit back of the head on frozen ground.

The officiating in the NFL has fallen off dramatically this year . I think the influx of women that can do the job competently would improve the quality of the officiating just by sheer competition alone .

In that setting she should blend in to be just another official. Flaunting her curls would or could be a distraction for the male players I would think.

I think they should be themselves, and if that means they want to tuck their hair or let it flow, its their choice. But she shouldn't be constrained by her long hair if she wants to wear it long. Some women keep their hair up because of common standards...like in the military while in their duty uniform. But I dont think that applies to women referees. Personally, if I had been her, I would had let my flag fly!
