I have another football question for a man.

Strong and weak originally referred to the side of the offensive formation with or without the extra man. The strong side had a tight end. The strong side linebacker played over the tight end. The weak side linebacker played on the side without the extra man. In modern football, these distinctions are blurred.

A strong safety usually plays nearer the line and has responsibility for stopping running backs first. He often covers the tight end. Free safeties (they don't call them weak safties) plays deeper than all other defenders and is primarily responsible for defending passes.

I’m no man, but I think it says itself, weak, safeties are those who start out or recovering, and the strong, for those, are well able to at a advanced level lift weights.

strong safeties has two jobs: be an linebacker and cover the line of scrimmage, and, be a safety and cover the passing lanes. the 'free' safety only covers the passing lanes.
