I have another football question for a man.

Why are there "strong" safeties and "weak" safeties? Can't the weak safeties just lift weights and become strong safeties or something?

strong safeties has two jobs: be an linebacker and cover the line of scrimmage, and, be a safety and cover the passing lanes. the 'free' safety only covers the passing lanes.
