If psychics are real, why don’t they win the lottery? ~

Pick your nonsense.
@Lostpoet Our brains are affected chemically. Anything ingested, breath, environment, hormones and lots of other things, change how we think. Prayer is akin to spell casting.
Lostpoet · M
@BlueSkyKing I think having a community and family behind you helps people heal.
@Lostpoet I don’t deny a placebo effect. But it’s still chemical and has nothing to do with magic based claims.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
some psychics are for real, like ones that work with the police.

@BlueSkyKing check the dalai lamas records

@Penny eta. Theres arekind of mixed up with reincarnation but that can lend sort of a psychic power
@Matt85

Psychics that work for the police

1) do not actually work for the police but report their unsolicited suggestions to the police and collaboration
2) do not increase the likelihood of solving a case
3) do not give information beyond generic stuff like "the body will be found near water" or "I see i white building with a staircase".

In short, if so called psychics could reliably improve outcomes for police then they would be a standard division in the department and not a tabloid sideshow.
Psychics don't rely on psychics to warn them of impending disasters. Psychics don't predict their own deaths or diseases. They go to the dentist like the rest of us. They're as surprised and disturbed as the rest of us when they have to call a plumber or an electrician to fix some defect at home. Their planes are delayed without their being able to anticipate the delays. If they want to know something about Abraham Lincoln, they go to the library; they don't try to talk to Abe's spirit. In short, psychics live by the known laws of nature except when they are playing the psychic game with people. Psychics aren't overly worried about other psychics reading their minds and revealing their innermost secrets to the world. No casino has ever banned psychics from the gaming room because there is no need.

Psychic powers are a gift from God not to be abused for selfish reasons but besides how do you know no one hasnt?
Penny · 46-50, F
@RedBaron im not that kind of Christian
RedBaron · M
@Penny What kind is there who doesn’t accept the foundational beliefs?
Penny · 46-50, F
@RedBaron well. I dont know if it really happenned or not but my mind is open yo the possibility. It really doesnt matter to me. To me jesus is living spirit. Maybe in a supernatural way. Idk. As real as angels. If they were right about them then maybe theres more thats true. Dont know but doesnt matter. I am also a raging schizophrenic when im not medicated so theres that too lol.

Research this guy - James "The Amazing" Randi. He was a magician-turned-psychic investigator who exposed hordes of fake (well, aren't they all fake??) seers, soothsayers and spoon-benders.

A psychics abilities are limited even for those who do good by the deity that grants them the power.

A different deity provides psychic power to do evil but the good deity limits that ability as well.

It is not stopped completely by the good deity because humans would never appreciate good if we have never experienced evil.

@laurieluvsit That makes sense. Quite intelligent.
RedBaron · M
@Livingwell Actually, it’s just her opinion based on religious belief.
Livingwell · 61-69, M
@RedBaron Her opinion but I don't believe religion has anything to do with it. She's logical.
Lostpoet · M
Because they aren't real but intuition is real and people do have an ability to predict what's going to happen before it happens.
RedBaron · M
@Lostpoet Then if they have such intuition, why don’t they win the lottery?
@Lostpoet Zero evidence. Science predicts the gender of a baby over 95%. Intuition is guessing and self deception .
Lostpoet · M
@RedBaron I didn't mean intuition like that I mean knowledge intuition like if someone has seen something before they might be able to predict something before it happens or if someone knows alot about a certain sport they might be able to predict if someone is going to make a basket just by looking at them shoot the ball and they may not even be conscious of the means by which they are predicting the event.
Guardian · 56-60, M
Who said they don't?
RedBaron · M
@DarlingSelah Which ones have you heard of winning?
