Does life matter if we have no after life? [Spirituality & Religion]
Honestly when I was an atheist I wondered if nothing lasts then everything has no meaning.

@Picklebobble2: that sounds nice but I also think if there is no absolute truth then truth is a lie and that is meaningless. you know what I mean if I have a apple in my hand an some one says It is a banana it cant both be an apple and a banana or else words have no meaning. There must be one truth for there to be any truth.

but what des any of that mean? what does god gain from testing us? he gets to separate those who blindly believe with those who do not readily get down on their knees. I think it is more a test to see if you will follow for the sake of following or if you will wait until you are given real reason to follow. I have yet to be given much reason other then the hope of life after death but since it is just a hope I will not bend the knee just yet. @GraceFromEP:

Other people give my life meaning, living in the moment, loving them, enjoying being with them, sharing life experiences, giving support and helping when and if I can and them helping me when I need it. There is NO guarantee of tomorrow, an afterlife, or an hour from now. If you or I don't make it happen then it wont. If I choose to sit in the corner contemplating my belly button then that is what my life will be.

Not a member of any particular faith just thinking if I end up not existing why would any of this matter. If I can still exist in some way after I am here it would not matter cause it would not fully be still me unless it was the whole me.
