God, save these people. They matter to You and they matter to me and all your children on here.

Truth hurts in fallen world but it can also heal. None of us here can change what God has already established as the truth anymore than we can change history, whether we believe in Him or not. I say this out of love, you guys are fighting a losing battle on here. My family and I are here to present the Truth of God to you to let you know that you don't have to believe man's misinformation on evolution or science for that matter. Evolution is misinformation which is why there is no evidence for it. God wants you to know the Truth, He loves you that much.

I'd like to hear the Christian viewpoint on the current tragedy in Texas, @DanielsASJ, if you're willing. A Christian girls' camp in Texas, founded in 1926. Seemed like a safe place to send your daughter, right? I'm not sure of the current numbers, maybe 15 children confirmed dead; 11 still missing. On whom do we blame these deaths if not God??

It's a tragedy what happened to those girls but put the blame where it belongs, on those who committed the crimes.

Oh, we do. But the fact of the matter is, once you introduce an all-powerful, allegedly 100% good being who could have prevented the crimes, he then becomes responsible.
@ElwoodBlues I'm not a current Christian, my dues lapsed several decades ago. I am familiar with the basics however and the fact of it is, God just doesn't work that way! He doesn't make things happen or not happen, he's just there for you when they do. If you happen to be into that sort of thing.
@GerOttman So praying for relief from cancer or any such thing is a waste of time??
I addressed the question to @DanielsASJ because he's been telling me that bad things happen to people because, in their freedom, they make bad choices. I started out with the example of brain cancer afflicting children, and @DanielsASJ was blaming those cancers on chemicals in the environment, genetically modified food, etc. In his view, the bad stuff is all mankind's fault. Hence my question to him.

If that were true, then God would be a dictator and not a 100% all powerful being. If you guys want to live in perfect world without the dung heap, then get saved.
@ElwoodBlues While I do not specifically pray I do meditate occasionally. They are related practices and can indeed offer measurable positive physical effects. Curing cancer may be a bit over optimistic...
Floods, plagues, wars, accidents have taken young and old without apparent pity for as long as there has been. Quite a lot of those things have been mans own doing one way or another.
My beliefs are mine, yours are yours, his are his. I have no god to blame or praise, I just accept the gift of a new day. However they do it, I hope those families find peace!
