Atheists, as winter ends and Spring is very near, will your Atheism be more difficult to maintain?

The days are getting longer, the sun is getting brighter. Its easy to maintain a negative outlook if it's cold, dark and the weather is bleak. But when the weather improves, people's emotional state also improves.

So when the sun is shining people are likely to be more happy, outgoing and optimistic. Doesn't this make it harder to be an Atheist in the spring and summer?

I'm not an atheist because I'm unhappy. I'm an atheist because the world is beautiful and I like to see it on its own terms.
There is nothing negative about atheism.

Devoting one’s life to a sky fairy, however… seems a bit of a waste of time.
What does a negative outlook have to do with atheism or religion?

No way! Why would it?

Negative outlook ?
As opposed to willful ignorance, bigotry, and the selfish arrogance of religion ?
No problem, each year, more and more people are identifying as non-religious. We’re winning.

I think you’re confusing seasonal affective disorder with a lack of superstitious beliefs

No, not in the least.

I'm not an atheist, but I'm pretty sure that daylight and increased heat is to do with the rotation of the earth around its own axis and around the sun.
