How does the creationist accept that a DNA test shows they're related to their father but reject that a DNA test shows they're related to a chimp? [Spirituality & Religion]

DNA lets you see that you're related to your parents, somewhat more distantly related to your grandparents and what your racial heritage is.
DNA lets us see that a tiger is closely related to a lion or a mouse is closely related to a beaver.....so why can't it show that you're closely related to a chimpanzee?

The real question to the creationist: At what point can you claim that DNA is no longer showing relatedness but a common designer and how do you justify that claim?

I like the story about the Buddha being asked by an atheist "Does God exist"? Buddha replied "Yes".
Five mins later a believer asked the Buddha "Does God exist,he replied "No".
He was telling the truth both times.
@Entwistle 🤔

@Pikachu In Buddhism our suffering,problems arise from concepts.(ignorance of reality) Zen buddhism tries to cut through the conceptual mind directly..e.g. 'What's the sound of one hand clapping'? So what the Buddha was saying was "the believer is wrong and the atheist is also wrong..as both are using,under the influence of their own concepts.

@Pikachu Whatever you can think of...That's not it!
Even thinking 'that's not it" is wrong..as it's a thought,a concept.
The Buddha said "If you meet me kill me"! He was talking about our concepts of him.
Ultimately stop the flow of judgmental thinking. Stop the conceptual thoughts and there is freedom.
@Entwistle lol Buddhism sounds hard.

@Entwistle So Buddah is a liar. the "non judgmental" and popular Buddah. I don't like liars! I am after truth! Either there is a God or there isn't. If he says I sin I appreciate that and I can change. I am not going to find the god who tells me I am great so I can feel great and be peaceful. I want to know the truth about myself.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Carazaa No Buddha wasn't lying. He was saying that any concept you have,any mental formation doesn't show reality as it is.
Buddha said once you have understood his teachings and used them for the purpose they were intended then throw them away.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Pikachu It's as hard or as simple as you want to make it.
@Entwistle

lol i'll have to take your word for it.
Carazaa · F
@Entwistle Either God made the world or he didn't. Both can not be true! Logic!

Then you follow the evidence , duh ! The whole point of science. You go where the facts lead you. Not the fairytales.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@CopperCicada Mainly Mahayana,teachings of Tsongkhapa and Nagarjuna.
Some Zen too.

@CopperCicada What's made you change your mind about sharing something?
Carazaa · F
@CopperCicada
God has to be a dependent origination or we can’t know God. But if God is a dependent origination, God doesn’t exist in a fixed static way.

I don't know what you mean, sorry.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Carazaa Dependent originatio n. Does a tree exist independently of its causes and conditions? Same with all things physical and mental. Nothing exists independently.
Carazaa · F
@Entwistle I agree that nothing exists independent of Jesus. He said "You can do nothing without me"
DocSavage · M
@Carazaa
Sorry but reality doesn't conform to your beliefs , simply because you don't like the results.
Carazaa · F
@DocSavage Right back at ya!
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Carazaa Except that the results continually reflect the idea of a universe without a creator.
DocSavage · M
@Carazaa
I have no problems with the science. So that rebuttal means nothing. The evidence supports the conclusions, not the other way around.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Carazaa Nothing exists independently of everything else. Jesus doesn't exist apart from the mind that believes in him. So he is a mental creation.
Can you separate Jesus from your awareness of him?
Carazaa · F
@Entwistle Jesus created everything and your breathdepends on him. Do you want to live in a fantasy world?
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Carazaa No,that's why i don't believe in God,Jesus or the bible.
