Another HUGE nail in the coffin for creationism: [Spirituality & Religion]
If Noah's flood really happened, why do we never find a dinosaur in the same geological layer as a human or a dog? Why no whales in the same layer as mosasaurs? Why no Apatosaurs in the same layer as elephants?
If all the animals were overcome by the flood at around the same time, why do we NEVER see these animals in the same fossil layers anywhere on earth?
Creation doesn't have a coffin to put nails in. On the other hand, evolution's coffin is nailed shut by its own followers. Not every place you go will have fossils of dinosaurs and other animals together.
@GodSpeed63 There is fossil evidence of predation between dinosaurs, and more recent evidence of human predation on now extinct species. But, to the best of my knowledge, there is no evidence of dinosaur predation on modern mammals, or human predation on dinosaurs. Now, if you can show otherwise, I will gladly retract my comments and give you a full apology.
Those of us who are not addicted to superstition see religion as very bizarre. Indoctrination is thought-addiction, and you appear to be very heavily addicted. There are thousands of religions in the world, and their adherents all believe theirs is the only truth. The way religion is practiced here in the South is extremely cult-like.
Those who are addicted are often not appreciated by the majority of others and many will not tolerate living in a theocracy, so using a bible (of which there are dozens of English-language different versions) as a way to build governments is repulsive, repugnant and illegal. USA is a secular nation by law.
Trump's recent act in front of a burnt-out church holding a bible (not his bible he admitted) upside down and backwards (on purpose, watch the video) is actually supportive of satanists who hold the cross upside down. He immortalized the manipulation of the religionists. He did that after attacking citizens who were innocent of wrong-doing, so he clearly attached hate to the bible.
And now, many of his base are leaving him. He is evil announced and manipulative. I have a screen shot of the Fox poll.
BTW, praying in public violates Matthew 6, 5-6, so when I see that, I know the person is not fit to rule over the rest of us.
Without Him, we're nothing, and that goes for you as well whether or not you'll admit it or not
Rubbish. I could say, with at least equal validity, that without The Flying Spaghetti Monster we're nothing, and that goes for you as well whether you admit it or not.
lol sorry, i didn't mean anything by it. My apologies if that sounded pretentious. You don't need to add any more to this but i still intend to set you straight.
I quoted you as saying so,because you said so
You're quite right, i did say that and you are completely justified in taking it at face value. Nevertheless, i'm going to correct you on a couple matters for future reference. The first and most trivial is what i said about jesus and allah. The user to whom i was speaking has a habit of responding to the first line or two of my post without reading the whole thing. That was just a test to see if he would read all the way to the end.
As to your accusation of retracting and denying my original position, i'm afraid you just misinterpreted my post. This post presents an argument which precludes the noachian flood. That's literally the point of this thread. If you don't believe me then i invite you to peruse my back catalogue for more insight into my very consistent position.
lol yes, that was indeed my point. I'm actually a little surprised that she managed to misinterpret it so badly. No one else on either side of the issue has🤷♀️
Okay. We get it. You are right. But the laws of logic, physics, reason and the time/space continuum dont apply to the faithful. It doesnt matter if the believe in Vishnu, The flying Spagetti monster, or one of the gods of Abraham. The laws of time, space and IQ are wasted on them. Would you deny a child the joy of Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny? Of course not. Leave them be. Let them have their belief. Its not as if they are going to be disappointed when they are all dressed up and go nowhere.
@Pikachu I get that.. And I get that Missionary zeal comes mostly from their side, as does intolerance and a lack of reason. And when the Zargon Hordes invade and their god is bigger than our god your point will be proved.. And they still wont listen.
Ok. At this stage i have no idea of what you're referring to so i'd need specifics. If i agree to discuss this question about proteins, will you show that you're engaging with me in good faith by promising to then answer the question i have put to you regarding the fossil record? So...are you up for a good-faith discussion? Your move.
P.S. If the answer to my question is "I don't know" then you can admit that right now and we'll still go on to discuss your protein question.
Pathetic. I see you've made your character clear for all to see: Dishonest coward.
Despite your childish attempts to deflect, i indulged you. I acceded to your little kiddy foot stamping and agreed to talk about your question first and only asked in return that you show a basic level of integrity. I offered you an olive branch and you slapped it away.
Remember your humiliation here, bud. Remember it and don't you dare enter one of my threads again until you're prepared to meet me toe to toe. Until then...
P.S. I've screen capped that interaction so that the next time you try to paint me as the mean, unreasonable bad guy, i can trot out this absurd demonstration of your intellectual dishonesty.
@LeopoldBloom There's some devils in heaven and some angels in hell So promise me child, when they pull your card You'll know, you'll know which one you are
Lol have I gone back to 2012 Youtube culture? It doesn't matter, creationists will say that the devil can magically move animals to different layers to fool us. Which is why creationism should remain in religious studies. And this is coming from someone who is quite apologetic towards christianity. I believe in traditional religious values and don't think that a religious vacuum is a good thing for society.
I have no idea, traditions change and I don't go along with tradition anyway as to do so would inhibit advancement. As you said you believe in traditional values, I thought you might know what they are.
@pianoplayingsteve No need for me to know, I don't care what they are as they're of no relevance to me. You said you believe in traditional religious values but you don't appear to know what they are.
