If i tell you that any of the apparent design you saw in the universe was not the work of god... [Spirituality & Religion]

...but of time traveling humans or aliens, can you prove me wrong any more than i can prove you wrong about god?
Am i then just as justified in believing that as you are in believing a god is responsible?

It was the white mice. You can believe in anything you like: faith doesn't require proof. But it you want to convince me, you'll have to provide evidence.

Seems fair. I wonder if the theist can provide any more evidence that a god did these things than i can that aliens or future humans did them.

@Pikachu Short answer; No.

@Bushranger fair enough

And don)’t forget we believe implicitly in aliens! 🤣🤣🤣@Pikachu

@Speedyman Doesn't surprise me, lol.

Doesn’t surprise me in anything you believe. When people stop believing in God they don’t believe in nothing they believe in anything@Bushranger

@Speedyman Actually, there's lots of things I don't believe in. But those other lacks of belief have nothing to do with being an atheist.

Do we? Why?
Speedyman · 70-79, M
You just said so. A person of your gullible mentality believes in anything anyway. @Pikachu

Can you copy and paste the part where i said we believe implicitly in aliens?
Or do you mean the theist believes implicitly in aliens?

‘If i tell you that any of the apparent design you saw in the universe was not the work of god...
...but of time traveling humans or aliens,’ don’t worry I Didn’t believe it any more than I believe any other of your stupid statements. I don’t think you realised the irony of my statement. But then I wouldn’t expect you to believe anything that requires intelligence@Pikachu
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@Speedyman You can't see that @Pikachu was proposing a hypothetical? That he was asking people to use their imaginations and step outside their comfort zones? There is nothing in @Pikachu's post that could be considered to indicate a belief in what is proposed. That is, of course, unless you only provide part of the quote.
Speedyman · 70-79, M
He wasn’t proposing a hypothetical he was just making a stupid statement or a least one which is stupid to anyone who has any reasoning at all. But I know atheism is not based on reasoning@Bushranger
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@Speedyman No shades of grey with you, is there?
Speedyman · 70-79, M
Why should there be. Truth is truth. @Bushranger
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@Speedyman Not talking about truth here, but about examining concepts by way of hypotheticals and imagination. But yes, truth is truth, it just requires a determination as to which truth is the real one.
Speedyman · 70-79, M
Absolutely that’s why I believe the truth@Bushranger
