Would you agree that this is an intellectually dishonest position or do you feel that this is an intellectually defensible position?

How can we deny anything that can't contradict the Word of God.

What are you trying to say there....?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu
A rather pathetic attempt at diversion.
Meaning that there is no evidence that can contradict the Word of God because no evidence exists outside of what God created.

@GodSpeed63

Well that's of course your faith position.

There is certainly evidence which contradicts what is written in the bible.
But i know that you personally are willing to deny any evidence which contradicts your faith position.

That's exactly the sort of thing i'm talking about in this thread.

More than that, it's the plain truth.

In your opinion, yes. But you've proved that you're more than willing to deny evidence to preserve that opinion.
Sad.
Luckily you are a minority, even among christians😉

@Pikachu
In your opinion, yes.
It's not opinion, it's His Word in which I trust.
@GodSpeed63 It’s an opinion. It’s your opinion.

Make sure you take your night time meds and the nurse tuck you in. Okay? I'll be praying for you.
@GodSpeed63 You said your god is all powerful and loving. This planet is stricken with famine, war, and diseases. IF your god is all powerful and loving explain the reason why the planet suffers as it does.

If you want to live in a perfect world, become born again.
@GodSpeed63 Why aren’t your prayers working?

They are.
@GodSpeed63 Apparently they're not. Wars are still going, hunger and homelessness are still worldwide problems.

You're still alive aren't you?
@GodSpeed63 I'm talking about the planet suffering from wars, famine, and homelessness.

@GodSpeed63 Yep exactly! paleontologists found soft tissue in fossils and soft tissue only lasts a few thousand years so they were confused and they had to come up with some other explanation that contradicts what is evident that the earth really is young, so the Bible is right after all.

I told you what you need to do in order to live eternally in a perfect world. Why are you procrastinating?

1Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

5Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

6And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

The Word of God.
@GodSpeed63 If there is a god and IF it is like you said all-powerful and loving there shouldn't be any evil on the earth.
But since you included an excerpt from a fairy tale in your reply I'll respond in kind.

"Be quite, and do not weep" answered the frog, I will help thee but what wilt thou give me if I bring thy plaything up again?"
"Whatever thou wilt have dear frog" said she-

I'll take the Word of my Heavenly Father over their word any day.

@GodSpeed63 How many dad's you got?!!
@GodSpeed63 The Brothers Grimm don't make empty promises. That's a huge plus.

A great example of non sequitur.
@Budwick Then perhaps YOU can answer my question that @GodSpeed63 and @hippyjoe1955 are unable to handle.
GodSpeed said his god is all-powerful and loving. My question is IF that's true why is the earth stricken with wars, famine, diseases, and homelessness?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@wilderflower Have you ever heard the story of Adam and Eve?
I think your answers lie there.
@Budwick Okay you responded with a question and you THINK the answers lie in the story but you're not able to tell me.
