I'm more agnostic than atheist, and it wasn't so much a choice as it was the conclusion of analysis of religious doctrine and the people claiming to be followers.
We’re not all bad, are we? 😂 @Zaphod42

@LadyGrace There are certainly exceptions, but it seems that the majority of the "faithful" are some of the worst people, and the bigger a show they make of being christian the worse they are. Example: an ex boss was super religious...big shows of being a righteous christian...and was fired for sexually harassing staff members and coercing a number of women into having sex with him and was suspected of stealing tips and petty cash.
Yep. Exactly. They are an embarrassment to God and to genuine believers. They are certainly out there. Jesus Himself, jumped on the “religious” hypocrites for making a big show of their faith. They were making contorted faces in public while they prayed, to seem holy. I couldn’t say the majority of followers are that way, but a good percentage, perhaps. Not all, but some are on tv and make my stomach turn. However, Jesus said not to worry about them. He’ll handle them. They’re not fooling God. He said to just make sure we do right, as we’re each accountable for our own sins and lives. That’s what I try to remember. @Zaphod42

@LadyGrace All in all it's enough to have made me abandon organized religion. I still feel like there's probably something bigger, and I try to live a good life regardless if there is or not simply because I think it's the right thing to do, but I refuse to associate with organizations that are filled to the brim with everything from simple hypocrites to the downright evil.
I understand. As far as my views, I don’t affiliate with religions of the world. I look at that differently. I see my relationship with God, as personal. Whereas I define religion as man-made philosophy. There’s a big difference. No religion died for my sins. Jesus did. That’s just the way I look at it. To each their own. @Zaphod42

@Zaphod42 Psssst the church isn't a retirement home for saints. Its a hospital for sinners.

I'd say that an agnostic atheist is the only kind of atheist a rational person can be lol.
But i agree that it doesn't seem to be a choice, really.
