Even if it meant you were more happy, less sullen, less neurotic and cynical and just generally more agreeable?

Well it couldn't happen considering a person wouldn't be "more happy, less sullen, less neurotic and cynically and just generally more agreeable" by believing in god so this is pretty irrelevant.
