Do you hear what God is saying to you? [Spirituality & Religion]

You have to spend time in His Word. That is how He communicates with those that believe.

Good question Gigi ... the Lord has talked to my neighbor all the time ... it is uncanny

I often wondered why the Lord wasn't sending me messages ... I mean, he could have texted me.

One day I realized, faith is assurance ... the assurance the Lord heard my prayer ... it is also the assurance that the Lord will respond.

With those two nuggets of wisdom, I realized he didn't really need to PM me ... that the prayer set the wheels in motion.

It is all about having faith.

Another day I realized why the Lord spoke to my neighbor ... but that is another story.

For me I rarely "hear" the answers. My prayer life is still a work in progress...I hear him in my heart or the peace I feel when a decision is made through prayer and my mindfulness. I also think he sometimes leads me in the strangest directions while answering me. Just recently I have been praying for guidance and he sent me on what felt like a wild goose chase...but after several months his answer presented itself and was actually not the answer I wanted. His answer was a BETTER one than I asked for!
Trust in the Faith and He will always answer.

One of the things that comforts me is to know that even if, through faith, I can't quite understand what God is saying to me, my soul understands, and will help me understand over time.

Meanwhile my faith tells me nothing is more important than [b]love[/b].

boy, what a great question....after trying to walk with Him for over 40 years, I still don't know...just this morning I thought He was telling me something, but I told him that in the past I did what I thought He said to do, and failed miserably...so I'm very reluctant to trust that it's really Him telling me this time..

hearing voices is bad, no matter what you believe.

I have a very deep faith and spirituality. It's something I can feel and sense.
