There's a difference between talking about religion and trying to force your beliefs on another person. This question mentions the latter.

its ok that i have one
its ok to be proud of it

I say "No thanks" until they stop whem that's all I'll say.

I just lie and say that I'll be at church and just never show up. "Yes" answers make them go away faster.

The question of what happens after we die is the most important one we can ask, so it's very important to work towards the truth and then disseminate it. That almost all won't know what they're talking about is a given, but to say it should remain strictly private IS NOT the smart way to go.

Yes, but look at what got the most hearts...versus the best answer which got none.

I agree with you but I couldn't help but notice Kali in your examples. Isn't that a death god that drank blood?? XD

I tell them pretty firmly, "Not interested".
But I've yet to have an atheist stop me as a total stranger and try to tell me what I shouldn't believe. I HAVE, however, had religious people follow me down the street, on the train, on the streetcar and even knock at the door of my home wanting to proselytize and get me to believe what they believe. And I also remember religious people lobbying here for Proposition 8 to stop people they'd never even met from being able to marry. So I do prefer a secular society to a theocracy any day of the week.

Most people seem to think that their way is right. It's very tiresome. How do I respond to that? Simple. I tell them it isn't. They can fight me about it all they want. It won't change the fact that they're one person in a big wide world of varying perspectives. I'm not going to favor their belief because that would be stupid and narrow.
I just give them crazy answers until they're so mad they shut up.

Lol, yes and she wore a necklace made of skulls. Kali is the queen of bad asses.
