* I'm not built likeable.

* I keep it real. People hate that. But I can't change how I roll. It's in my blood.

People might like me because ....

* I try to be kind and honest.

neither. I know why they don't like me. They don't like me because I am myself and I will NOT be a chameleon to fit in with any group of people. I will not change my morals nor what I believe. People who judge me before they get a chance to know me also don't like me. The problem is them, not me.

People will like me if they share the same morals and values and have a sense of humor, because I can laugh at anything.

I struggle to understand why anyone would like me. When someone is nice to me, my immediate reaction is that they are just playing me. I am 22 and still haven't had a real romantic relationship because I genuinely believe that no girl would ever want to be me and the phrase "lucky lady" throws me for a loop because I believe I'm miserable to be near. I recently adopted a cat who loves to follow me everywhere and sit on my lap, and I still struggle to accept that she wants to be near me. I do seem to be healing, but I am on a VERY long road to recovery.

I'm a person who generally doesn't give a fuck whether anyone likes me or not. I'm me. I'm different, peculiar, strange, and at times complicated. I don't expect the average person to get that, but it can be amazing meeting someone who does. Last night I sat across a table from a couple who were genuinely interested in how I came to be where I am and the conversation was great.

No, I understand why some people don’t like me. I’ve moved past the point of needing to confirm that they have a reason, though.

I don’t get why anyone would like me most of the time.

I alternate between the two. I go from thinking I'm a likable guy, and nobody has a reason to hate me, to thinking I'm worthless and nobody has a reason to like me.

At some point, I'm hoping my brain will settle down somewhere in the middle.
