Everyone is trustworthy – until the opposite is evident beyond any doubt.
Really your own life will be more beautiful if you don't always think: "Hey this person just tries to deceive me."

@helenS Thank you! Cheers back at you!

I believe that almost everyone is in their survival mode. Part of that survival mode is denial, delusion, illusion and all such that leaves no room for complete self awareness. From that point most people don't know themselves, or know what they need or not need. There is an unconscious force driving them which is almost always sabotaging.
How can they be trusted with responsibility for someone elses heart?
It is not that they choose to be untrustworthy (most), it is that they're incapable of it.

@SW-User Some are caoable - others are not. But it would be nice if they didn't lie and pretend otherwise while it was convenient.
SW-User
Only few people prove to be trustworthy with the test of time
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@SW-User 100%. If they tell you they're different and/or trustworthy, they are complete shite.
SW-User
@LadyBronte Yep. I instantly don't trust someone who says, I'm honest I never lie.
Magenta · F
Oh no, some men are huge drama kings. I Knew one, yet he projected that onto me, lol.
SW-User
I often wonder, is how we trust more a reflection of ourselves? I know, it's a difficult topic and some people face more betrayal, hurt than others, but I think any person carries some, and we do have choices, inside ourselves in how we deal with betrayal. I've been betrayed, I chose to try and heal with the person, instead of continuing being angry or self-deprecatingly, jaded. They linger in feelings, and you don't wish those feelings away, and they are gone - but I do feel, letting yourself heal, and avoiding stereotypes as much as you can are healthy things you can do for yourself.
SW-User
@LadyBronte Yes, but that doesn't change it's a personal journey, and I wish I had answers for you, where I don't.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@SW-User There are no answers nor dis I expect anyone to have them. It was just a question. Thanks.
SW-User
@LadyBronte I know it was a question, and I'm glad you see it as a question - there is many moments I would love to change, that would change how I see the world, and asking yours is, to me, you being open to many possible answers.
Maybe as men tend to show less some emotions, we are led to believe they are coping better with adversity, but that isn't necessarily true. I think men generally have a stronger sense of ownership (reversely women tend to feel they belong to their environment rather than the other way round), which can be a shield for the male ego, but which can also backfire as a sense of entitlement.
Abstraction · 61-69, M
I'm trustworthy. My wife can ask me any direct question and knows she'll get the truth. I seriously hate drama. We can solve problems without attacking each other. We address the problem from the same side of the table.
So that's how I know some people are trustworthy.

@Abstraction You are very blessed.

@LadyBronte I'm sorry you've been so burnt. I'm not untouched, I've been burnt more than once - and in the past long ago I messed up also. It taught me that truth isn't a convenience. It's like bringing something of immense value into your life, like a treasure. Everything glows differently when you hold it, with a clarity like fresh morning air. But it's also costly. The price is facing up to yourself, being prepared to lose money, admit wrong... which teaches you it's not worth doing wrong! You have to be prepared to lose face. Ironically, real irony, losing face brings respect.
Torsten · 36-40, M
people in general are untrustworthy. better to find that out sooner rather than later and save yourself a lot disappointment
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Torsten Found out all along but the last one was the last nail in the coffin.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@LadyBronte the last one normally is the hardest to get past
Steve42 · 56-60, M
I think people have in general a myriad of possible motivations that most likely are not the same as mine and as such a long list of contradicting temptations that fails to be trust worthy.
JestAJester · 31-35, M
I dont even know anymore. Men are less manly anymore and women are less trustful. Im suspicious of everyone and i hate that i have to play this game.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@JestAJester It's all about the game. :(
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Trust takes time no matter who it is. It doesn't matter who.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@DeWayfarer Trusting someone for years doesn’t mean they"re trustworthy at all.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@LadyBronte Yet trust without time is foolish.
Just saying. Far too many are betrayed because they never allow for enough time.

@DeWayfarer True.
rrraksamam · 31-35, M
I believe that anyone staring directly at the nozzle of a SIG Sauer P365 will speak the truth and nothing less
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@rrraksamam Yep. You're right.
cycleman · 61-69, M
I tell myself to be an open book. I guess that is what others see from me and they don't want much from me.
Thus I get to be a loner.

i have to agree with you, yes

I kind of agree.
REMsleep · 41-45, F
You thought that men were more trustworthy than women wow!
Can't wrap my head around that one but seriously people are human and greed, hunger, lust, boredom, sickness, can instantly make a trustyworthy person untrustworthy.
I trust none but God.

@REMsleep Your forgot selfishness. That can do it too. God is the only trustworthy one.
NoGamesTolerated · F
@REMsleep Absolutely… Trust God with Everything … people to varying degrees. Some with absolutely nothing.

I can tell who the real genuine souls are from those who are full of bs … it’s a gift 🎁 lol 😘
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@SW-User Used to think I could too. Now I know there are better liars than I am judge of character.

The good liars can only get so far in life tho they aren’t as clever as they think they are 😌@LadyBronte
