Keep it real.

I'm a woman. All woman.
I've given birth to my children and breastfed them. I have periods.
I'm no stunner but I think I'm attractive.
I believe women around the world have a right to argue for their women's rights.
Men pretending to be women (let's face it, it's what it really is) shouldn't even begin to think they're anywhere near being a real woman until they've done the above three things in my post.

By all means disagree if you wish, however biological makeup are facts.
That you cannot deny.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
Do "men pretending to be women" really restrict your rights as a woman or your freedom to fulfill your womanhood? If not, can you not just broaden your horizons to accommodate the welfare of others?

I'm infertile, so I will never tick your first two boxes regarding being a "real woman". I am nevertheless a loving mother and auntie and I do my best 😐
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@NativePortlander1970 Phew, that's a lot of militancy for so early on a Saturday! I wish you both a peaceful weekend 😌
@SunshineGirl We're slammed with it on a constant basis, even when we're sleeping we'll wake up with it in our faces.

@Purplerain78
I am tolerant to the point where the trans community decide that breastfeeding is chest feeding that other known terms should be changed to suit them.
Terms change all the time, nobody forces you to change your lexicon if you don't want to. You're just finding excuses to be hateful towards a minority that you evidently can't help whining about.
unfair on those who wish to just live happily without all this backlash
No, it isn't. You can live your life without bothering about transgenders altogether, it's your and only your decision to whine about them constantly. Nobody forces you to, again.
Change is only good when it benefits all. If it's only to please a small minority
If it benefits some and is totally neutral on the rest, it's still a net positive change. Disabled people, for instance, is another minority; and eliminating architectonic barriers a change that only benefits that one minority, while being practically neutral for the rest of the population. It's still perceived as an overall positive change by the absolute majority of the population, even those who don't benefit from it. Nobody but you believes that "change is only good if it benefits all"; change is good so long as it benefits more people than it negatively affects, and society being accepting towards transgenderism doesn't negatively affect you in any way.
So many do not want the attention. People need to respect this.
They evidently do, when all they do is making inflammatory posts about the subject all the time they're online.

Live and let live?

Or do you wake up with this insurmountable itch about the fact that different people exist than you, and can't help letting it spoil your existence?
vorian · 51-55, M
@Purplerain78 lost that one torsten.
Purplerain78 · 41-45, F
@vorian another idiot. Do carry on thinking I'm some bloke with a beard 🙄
vorian · 51-55, M
@Purplerain78 no problem.
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
The entire gender identity thing is garbage.

We are what we are. Most people are happy to be their assigned sec at birth.

If someone isn’t then it is a lesson of self acceptance to embrace what cannot be changed and to live one’s best life.
Purplerain78 · 41-45, F
@Muthafukajones Well said.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Muthafukajones Societal constructs are mutable, gender is one of those and the classification goes as far back in time as the 1950s (https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11199-011-9932-5). If you don't like it you're free to move to Russia where they live by your belief that everything is binary and immutable, and not force people to live by your own oversimplified perception of reality.

I understand and agree. But lucky for us we do not have this in or head that makes us believe we are the wrong gender
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@Emosaur what are you talking about?

@Emosaur I think you misread my comment. Or you are looking to fight with people.

Acknowledged that you are a woman and proud of it. That is great.

Also acknowledged that there are important differences between the experiences of trans women and cis women (like you).

BUT... trans women are not "pretending". They feel deep inside that they are not men, but women. Many of them go through hell to get to the point of self-acceptance and societal acceptance as who they know themselves to be -- if they get there at all.
shouldn't even begin to think they're anywhere near being a real woman until they've done the above three things in my post.
So are the many women who have never given birth, and the many women who have given birth but did not breastfeed their children, not women either?

Also what do your looks have to do with anything? Are women you would consider unattractive, not women?

Why not be more welcoming?
fvckit · 41-45, M
Sorry, should’ve commented on your post, instead of your comment on that other post.

Couldn’t agree more

all I care about with regard to this issue is people being compelled by the state, media institutions, universities, etc. to use preferred pronouns, and language being changed

Why are you concerning yourself with other people’s choices?

What damage are they causing you?
Jeremi · 41-45, M
girl you better spit them facts!
Even men pretending to be women are still enforcing a patriarchy.
