“Women lose value in society as they age”

They don't lose value as an individual they lose value in the dating and relationship game. Also it's women that initiate divorce at 60 - 70 percent rate so it's women abandoning relationships not men. The reason women struggle after divorce is because men and women are valued for different things. A man is valued for what he can provide and his experience where women are valued for their youth beauty purity and fertility. The things women value in men take time to build and the things men value in women dwindle over time.

I personally feel more empowered and independent and happy as I get older but on a wider scale there are definitely plenty of examples like yours.

I think it is true in society that as women get older there is a risk to be less 'seen' or feel less relevent. If they have children, who need them less as they get older themselves, it can be like their 'purpose' is fulfilled and they don't know what to do for themselves.

70% of divorces are filed by women. And Average Joe Middle-Class Middle-Age Guy is not going to fetch himself a 20something.

I’ve noticed I feel better about who I am as I age but it doesn’t really make me feel good in the grand scheme because now that I see my worth, nobody cares, nobody sees.

Now that I’m ready to be seen and share this deep realization of love inside me, most men my age are jaded by the issues marriage caused them. They stayed with some Karen too long and their feelings were never considered. They like the idea of me being my own beautiful person, but they still don’t want all of me because they’re tired of putting in the work.

They just want their dicks sucked and for me to continue dealing with everything because I’m strong. But I’m tired. It took a lot of work to get to this place within on my own and I want to share, not be a mommy to a grown man.

That's a sad thing. Because there is no love left in them and people don't make efforts these days. People like me who are ageing have hard luck to find love because financial position matters.

One thing older women say is "I get hit on more now than I am older." which may be true but I do not think college men or creeps at a gas station really count.

Even if it is quality men their own age, they might ask out the women because if she rejects, it doesn't really hurt as much as if it were rejection by someone they actually want.

All things add up to null; nature has a tendency to balance all things.

Women have a massive advantage early in life, but as we age women begin to lose their edge and men begin to pass them up.

It is because of what most men value vs what most women value.

Men are highly physical, women are highly material.

When we are young we are physically pleasing and typically become less so as we age

When we are young we don't have much but if we play our cards right we tend to accrue more and more material value as we age.

Therefore, men tend to appreciate with time and women tend to depreciate with time.

Society consists of much more than just the opinions of dull middle aged men. As I get older I get closer to financial autonomy. I no longer have to demean myself by taking paid employment from people I have no respect for. Eventually I will be able to quit the rat race, retrain as a teacher and devote my energies to the education and care of young people. The job will not be accurately valued by our market economy, but I will nevertheless feel valued and rewarded by a small rise in the level of civilisation 🙂

Depends what they mean with value.
That's very subjective.
If it's value based on looks, yes, but men too, unless they have a great financial position? And women with great financial positions can be as powerful too.
Value as to find a partner? Well different tastes, but in that sense men can have more possibilities to find someone even being old, but mostly if they have money.
And anyway money can't buy love so isn't that they're much better.
So yeah it's subjective.

Rich women should dump more men for younger ones to even the balance. Then again most rich women I've seen in movies kill theirspouse without getting caught so .. idk

Only if the only thing they have to offer is looks or have a profession that heavily focuses on the appearance of their workers but their positions are easily replaceable, like flight attendants or waiters. Or if they do professional sports, but in that case that applies to both genders.

I personally don't think people in general lose value in society as we age.
With age comes experience, skills, and knowledge. Physically, it depends on how we take care of ourselves when we're younger. It does have an impact when we get older.
