“Trans abled people”. People who feel trapped in their perfectly functional bodies and wish to identify as disabled.

This is some first world bullshit that really pisses me off!! For some people, disabilities are life destroying for themselves and their families. There’s a spectrum of disabilities but in some communities there is not the funds or facilities to support disabled people - I know someone who is suicidal because her life is waking up and coping with pain every day.

I hope to hell she will never have to compete for care with these human dead ends who should be slapped hard and repeatedly, and told to get on with their lives.

Fucking raaaagh!

I don't particularly think "trans-abled" status has the same legitimacy as transgender status, but I don't think it's super reasonable to worry about the .00001% of ppl who are "trans-abled" posing a credible threat to disabled people through their use of healthcare resources. And yeah, this post very much does have the whole vibe of "you have so much, you should be happy!" But brains don't really work like that; happiness can be difficult to people even under the best of circumstances and with the best of intentions. I don't think I can fault someone for seeking happiness in a really weird way, so long as they don't hurt others in the process.

@BlueVeins No.You cannot seek happiness by being a total freak.
What might make me happy might be to walk around in a plastic binliner, with my penis sticking out,and randomly masturbating on the street.
Identifying as a serial masturbator-so if that made me "happy",should that be allowed? These types of people need LOCKING UP,not indulging.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@wonkywinky ever consider that masturbating in public hurts other people?
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
I like Blue Veins, I see this as a small minority of silly people. I don't think this should be used as an argument against trans-gender. This is a bit of the "schools are putting cat litter in the bathrooms" kind of thing that is used to enrage people.

BTW I dont' think this post is trying to discredit the trans gender people, just saying.
Morvoren · F
@JimboSaturn Bingo.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@JimboSaturn one cannot even say the word trans without people instantly wanting to bicker about transgender. Kind of for the same reason that if you say the word vaccine people instantly want to fight about covid-19.

But now with transgender people, here is something crazy. Most of them actually hold down jobs just like any other member of society. More often than not it is 9:00 to 5:00 type jobs just like anyone else
They highly enrage me as well because of what I go through myself. I was on a site where these people existed unbeknownst to us until their behavior gave them away. There are also people called devotees that are sexually attracted to disabled people only. Some enjoy stealing wheelchairs just to get turned on by watching them struggle or rubbing what's left of an amputees leg. They're all fucking twisted.

@MoonlightLullaby Rubbing a stump isn't that thrilling - and nor is having one rubbed against you.

It also comes with the Hell of trying to ease those late night phantoms, when you would much rather sleep.
@HootyTheNightOwl I assume you're speaking from experience? If so, I'm terribly sorry. I have a different injury and don't have phantoms, but I do have nerve pain and sometimes a sheet or fan can be torturous. That isn't the sum of my pain though, nor touch the loss of abilities. I wish these sick people were gifted with the things that get them off.
@MoonlightLullaby Yes, soon to be ex lost a leg before I met him.

His ex couldn't deal with the loss of his leg, though and wouldn't even look at his stump never mind touching it - so that left him with some issues of shame around his disability that I've had to deal with.

Looking back now, it's a good job that I did because there's been times when I had to tend to his stump to ease phantoms and also to keep him from getting worse infection.

I have had neuralgia myself, so I can understand how a fan and the cold can affect your nerves.

Quite possibly the worst thing has to be my back pain. That's limiting my ability to walk... though I don't know if it's muscular or nerve related. I do know that acupuncture helps it - but I can't get any treatments because I live with financial abuse.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
that's what pisses me off about social security/disability these days...

If you have an actual physical disability & are unable to work, you have to fight tooth and nail for years to even get considered for disability...

Then others who are perfectly healthy, able to work, etc. go claim some bullshit mental disorder and they're pretty much given disability on the spot...
Give a mouse a cookie.. he’ll want a glass of milk to wash it down..
ididntknow · 51-55, M
The mental people are now getting their own way
wonkywinky · 51-55, M
This is the modern world.People who might be white christian male, can now claim to be a chinese islamic reindeer if they so choose. But the worst thing is we are now supposed to respect that, and refer to that person as Imam Rudolf Chang if he so wishes.
People should grow up and deal with their lives.
SW-User
I just googled " Transableism is a term that refers to the desire to acquire a disability through choice rather than happenstance. "

I think they are mentally challenged 😞.
Morvoren · F
@SW-User Yes that’s a fair comment
CestManan · 46-50, F
People like that have existed for years. They didn't used to have a specific name for it but yeah there's always been able-bodied people who pretend that they are disabled because they don't want to work or whatever.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@CestManan Many people milk the system for that.
SW-User
Some form of insanity.
I guess that applies to people saying the same thing about being trapped in a human body and they think they're animals.
I saw this shit years ago and got pissed about it.

Dismorphia and that be damned, this is outright insulting.

Pretending to be disabled becuase it makes you feel better?!
FUCK ORF!
get a bloody psychiatrist and deal with it

Some people ARE truly disabled !
wonkywinky · 51-55, M
I just about accept homosexuality.
If thats what certain people enjoy, then as long as they leave me alone, fine.
But i draw the line at transsexuality. These people are sexual deviants, and should be taken in and given treatment.
@wonkywinky You're confusing transableism with transsexuality.
wonkywinky · 51-55, M
@HootyTheNightOwl No,im confusing all the stupid "isms"with being a normal heterosexual man.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
I feel that way about trans people in general; the idiotic belief that they were born in the wrong body, or nature made a "mistake"...

If they feel their lives are that arbitrary, they might as well commit suicide in the belief that they'll get a do over... 🤷‍♂️
TurtlePink · 22-25, F
Y’all, go to bed 🙄
SW-User
isnt that a hypochondriac or is that classed as something else too now

My friend has CRPS, finding a doctor to help her manage her pain, help treat her, next to impossible! But if she wanted to become a man....no problem!!
iamelijah · 26-30, M
This is beyond my knowledge but I wanna keep updated because I've read some intelligent healthy conversations here.

SW-User
@Morvoren Yes, crazy people exist. But acting this is a legitimate category that people recognize--it's not. It's crazy people being crazy.
