ESPN ‘Celebrates’ Women By Denying Their Existence

Instead of celebrating the hard work and skill of female athletes, ESPN is dead set on erasing them and replacing them with men.

There are hundreds of thousands of talented female college and professional athletes in the U.S. who deserve recognition for their hard work, skill, and talent — but ESPN chose to celebrate this year’s Women’s History Month by boosting the resume of a man.

Over the weekend, ESPN ran a special segment recognizing Lia Thomas, a male swimmer who invaded women’s sports in 2021. What did Thomas do to land a spot as poster child for ESPN’s supposedly pro-woman campaign? He was the first man to clench an NCAA Division I women’s championship.

This is why I'm considered too little lgbtq supportive, I have some disagreements within the LGBTQ community, this is one of them. If trans women wanna compete in sports they should have a trans women competition group. Or else it's not making any sense.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Queendragonfly I skipped over the competitive sports thing and went straight to it doesn't make sense - right from the get go.

@Budwick I respect that people suffer from body dysphoria and is born in the wrong body. I don't know how it feels but I can only imagine, no one should have to be a prisoner in the wrong body.

I respect that people's sexual orientation isn't always heterosexual, all love is love.

I respect that there's people who identify as queer

I respect there's people who prefer to be called they /them

No one should be abused or harassed on the streets on in a group, that includes all people.

What I don't support is that you only have to be 18 to start with hormone treatments I think that's way too early for someone to decide such a life changing body changing decision considering our brains aren't fully adolescents until age 25.

I've seen the detrans community. All people who regret their hormone treatments who regret their transitioning who hates their body even worse and can't ever get their original parts back. It's gotta be so extremely traumatic. And yet the only one they have to blame is themselves, but society isn't exactly helping to be careful with impacting someone with all the LGBTQ attention. Which is my other concern.

I'm not as black/white as you regarding it all, but I do have disagreements.

@Queendragonfly Thanks for your explanations - I respect that!

I am indeed black and white on this.
To me it is a binary thing - boy/ girl.

See the Christian school killer was a tranny?

@Slade and you’re a coward.

Not only are you a bigot, but you’re too scared to even admit that you are. You’d rather just hide behind insults.
Slade · 56-60, M
@AshAnnJen2003 Yawn. Go cry over another mass murderer
specman · 51-55, M
Pretty soon it will be a men’s competition and a man who thinks he’s a woman competition.
I am highly against men in women’s sport.

I’m highly against transgender operations. These people are mentally unstable homosexuals.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@specman You love trans women don't you? You are one of those men who SAYS he is against TG but in private you have always had fantasies about being with one.
specman · 51-55, M
@CestManan nope
We are living in dark times. I also never knew a kid upset about their gender when I was growing up, no one ever killed themself over thinking they were a girl when they weren't. This type of thing makes my blood boil but then a lot of men standing up for biological women are sexist as well, the ultra-testosterone self-declared alpha men. Being a woman, we have to take any help we can get from anyone.
@AshAnnJen2003 No it absolutely didn't. The only kid I knew, or heard of, killing themself was a guy who burnt a building down and felt shameful.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@AshAnnJen2003
It happened. You were just unaware.
It did not happen - you are making shit up - AND eating it.
Slade · 56-60, M
@Angelwarfare A real Alpha Man would never describe himself as one. They just are. Can you picture the ballsy cops who stormed and took out the fiend in Nashville calling themselves "alpha men"?
The honest reason why female athletes don't get the same money and recognition as men is because they just don't sell tickets. Imagine how empty a stadium would be to watch women play football? Or baseball? Do they draw crowds for soccer.....ok sure to a degree to a very limited market..... but the big money is in baseball and football....men's PGA golf.

When a T comes along in "women's sports" it causes a controversy and controversy draws a crowd. That might be to jeer at the "T"....criticize them...or just watch to say "yeah I saw that shit on TV Sunday". But it draws interest. If that same swim meet had all girls...........who would give a crap who won? Media reports on things that are controversial........draws interest. So ESPN just got on that bandwagon. Not too hard explain.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@MaBalzEsHari You mean you are going to talk marriage just to get into my pants like the last 20 men on here did? 😮
@CestManan Not right away. ;-) Maybe in a day or two. ;-) ;-) ;-) I like to go slow. ;-)
@CestManan ;-) ;-) ;-) Good sense of humor. I like that.

ESPN is fighting to stay relevant. Choose a guy as "Female Athlete of the Year" and ESPN gets all this attention. Choose an actual female athlete and it's ignored and forgotten.
Just proves men are better at everything.. even being a woman..

@Budwick I am replying specifically to your final comment in bold:

@SW-User Whatever world you live in, stay there, and please leave the normal world alone
AbbeyP · 70-79, F
The lunacy of these people is unspeakable. They go against both science and psychology. Maybe we can self-identify of flat earth ears as well!
Patientlywaiting · 46-50, FVIP
Yes this is not fair, men naturally have more muscle mass so even once trans they would still have an edge over natural born women.
Teirdalin · 31-35
I mean, probably sells more tickets and generates controversy which gives free interest and advertising.

Not everyone who is LGBT is unhappy with their gender...
Budwick · 70-79, M
@SW-User OK - but has nothing to do with the topic.
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
The rest of the World must be laughing at the West right now

... if you can't destroy it militarily/externally ... get the 'useful idiots' to destroy it from within
@BigGuy2 security politely cooperated with the so called “insurrectionists”..
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@puck61 ... yes, the FBI stooge {oops, sorry} the guy with the 'earpiece' in who checked a locked door, who seemed to call someone, then the locked door miraculously opened
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
