I talk to myself only because at times I need expert advice. As for being self absorbed; if it bothers you and you’re working on it that’s great. No apologies need as far as I’m concerned.

Oh I have that same habit! I'm always interested in listening to and learning about others, but I don't even realize I'm doing it.

Like now I'm literally doing it lol, and I think drawing parallels to my own experiences is just my way of connecting with people, like: I can empathize to this and that extend. =D

I wouldn't worry too much if I was you, I doubt it even comes across as self absorbed as you think.

It's the best when you click with someone and each person replies by talking about themselves concerning whatever topic. 😆

You're interesting. I don't mind you talking about yourself. This is a public forum and I'm here as much to learn about other people like you. I'm in rainy England. It's great to hear about people from other countries. You're doing me a favour.

That's not a problem at all @FoxyGoddess

I tend to do the same thing myself honestly when I'm in one on one discussions. My problem I've been finding is when someone is having a rough time in their life, I can't seem to find many words to say even though in my head there's words, but they don't coalesce into sentences. So I do care very deeply, just I need to figure out good, helpful things to say.

Am always up for hearing more about you 😊

One of my greatest skills is listening to people tell me stuff about themselves :)

I think its important to know when to pull back, so its good your are talking a look at yourself, but overall, its not the worst thing.

You can chat your self up, I don’t mind

I’m too quiet for my own good at times
I've never seen you that way, I don't think you talk about yourself more than is normal particularly in the context of a two-way conversation, and certainly not self-absorbed at all, we have genuine examples of that in the news every day and you are a far cry from that

For some of us, this place is a safety valve. We tell the keyboard because we trust our anonymity..Its therapy of a sort. 😷
