Same, and not just male friends. I've had several family members vote to let me die during the pandemic, and then downplay it as being entitled to have different opinions when I asked them to explain their choice. 😬

It’s a reason that I’ve largely backed off from Trump supporters here. Sadly in some cases, but they can’t really care about me, or in some cases, even themselves. In real life I have no Trumpers among my friends, because this is too serious.

For me it would be like befriending a Neo-Nazi or Ku Klux Klan member.

They see you as someone who is willing to kill something they believe has a soul just for your own comfort. Think how that makes them feel.They aren't voting to reduce your rights, they're voting against murder. You're not a very good friend if you don't understand this is how they view it.

I feel for you. I'm not sure your age, it doesn't matter other I assume you could become pregnant, and it's so very wrong what's happening in the US right now. Those who can't live your life, ever, telling you what is right.

And yet these people are still your friends.

Just when we think we know our friends, we suddenly discover that their beliefs are the opposite to our's. If we had known that about them in the first place, would we have maintained that friendship for as long as we did?

Just know that if you should ever need their support for your rights as a human being, they will not support your views nor your needs. At least you'll know that going forward!
