A lot of people really don't understand what equality means.

They're either like:

If you're allowed what I am, I'm getting less.[/b]

Or:

[b][i]Fine, I will kick up my feet while you pull all the weight and do everything.


Those things are not equality, they are stupidity.

Capitalism causes that. That somehow, there's this pie that needs to be divided up and you might not get a slice if someone else gets a bigger one. That's not how things work, but that is how consumerism works.

Personally, I like equity better than equality. With equity, everyone gets exactly what they need based on their conditions. No one is better than anyone else because we all have a different center line and they are provided to meet that personal line.

I think that is fairer than equality.

@FoxyQueen Equity needs to work alongside a general idea of equality. That everyone is entitled to a reasonable share of the pie based on the fact of our common humanity, not simply their ability to produce and consume.
