Which is better, Chicago or Minneapolis?

And state your reason why?
Lackwittyname · 51-55, M
Chicago because I live here, had great food, public transportation, winters are not as bad as they are in Minneapolis, great summer city, wonderful Lake Michigan. Minneapolis though is a great city too.

i used to think Minn due to the deaths in Chicago but Minn has NO respect for their police, they have militant groups and IlhanOmar...enough said
MaryJanine · 61-69, F
I was born and raised there (Chicago.) With the exception of the summer of 1968, everything was less emphasis on rioting and general disruption and stealing. I was never in Minneapolis, but there seems to be more disquiet since the Floyd trials.

@xuxuguinhu9 Late 50's, early 60's. Then came 1968, and the Vietnam protesters poured into the downtown streets, chanting. "The whole world is watching...the whole world is watching..."

In Chicago, there is the museum of science and industry, the field museum of science and industry, the Adler planetarium, the art institute, Brookfield Zoo, the frank Lloyd wright house. Each is a world-class museum. the field museum has the stuffed lions the ghost and the darkness that the movie the ghost and the darkness was made about, it also has a real Egyptian tomb. there is also the surgical museum. 😺

@MaryJanine the zoo is free but they charge for parking that's how they get their money. I have had it with everyone on here. I'm going to shoot everyone on here that I chatted with. once again I have to shove down food right before taking my weightlifting mix which is to be taken on an empty stomach because of time push racing my errands as fast as I can getting home way late because I spent time on here before starting my errands. so make out your will and say your goodbyes to your family because I'm going to kill you and your entire family. i have to skip my weightlifting once again because I spent time on here. good bye to all of you!

@trackboy Sorry to see you go away. I already have my will made and very little family left, anyway.

Both cities are blue led with plenty of covid restrictions
MaryJanine · 61-69, F
@MarineBob It depends how many maskless people are on the street. Want to see a place with COVID restrictions? Try those places where nobody wears them.
Minn is fine a great city I like it.

but in Chicago? one can go out at 3 am, and hear the hottest jazz and blues and get great food too.
and that is just on a Wednesday!

then there is the Art Institute museums !
Coolkid77 · 31-35, M
Neither, both cities are a hell hole. Run by Dems with high crime rates and don't support the police. Chicago does have cool tourists places though.

Very different towns aren't they. I like being close enough to enjoy both. But this time of year, The City of Lakes has few equals in my mind.
WanderingThrough · 31-35, F
Minneapolis…I’ve never been to Chicago. I do hope to make it to Chicago someday though.
MaryJanine · 61-69, F
@WanderingThrough And if you come, we will try to show you a good time.
WanderingThrough · 31-35, F
@MaryJanine Thank you! 😊❤️
MaryJanine · 61-69, F
@WanderingThrough Trackboy names the well-known Chicago sites. I now live just over the line in Oak Park, and there are three separate homes that once belonged to writer Ernest Hemingway at one time. I've never been, but other friends have, and I understand the tours are wonderful.
QueenandCrown · 41-45, F
They're both great cities. Minneapolis is my favorite but I love living close to Chicago as well.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Never been to Minneapolis but on paper it just seems better than Chicago.
