I was born and raised there (Chicago.) With the exception of the summer of 1968, everything was less emphasis on rioting and general disruption and stealing. I was never in Minneapolis, but there seems to be more disquiet since the Floyd trials.

@xuxuguinhu9 Recently, yeah, but not while I was growing up. You weren't afraid to walk down the street at night then, or have your car carjacked or dear getting shot so often. The Floyd trails have had the city wound like a tight watch.

@xuxuguinhu9 Late 50's, early 60's. Then came 1968, and the Vietnam protesters poured into the downtown streets, chanting. "The whole world is watching...the whole world is watching..."
