Most of them are wrong

wrong: "the exception that proves the rule"

right: nothing good happens after midnight

i cant think right now.. but more than a few are at least somewhat if not entirely true

cream rises to the top...not at work. it's the rotten apples that rise

A cliché a day keeps thinking at bay.

Ones starting with Everyone knows..., Now we all..., and similar clauses.

Business managers calling themselves Chief xxx Officer in place of the the simpler, less pretentious xxx Director.

Historians and novelists insisting on using only the present tense for narrating what has happened, not what is happening.

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away." NOT true. 🤔🤔🤔 UNLESS they are organic apples grown without pesticides! And even then...those DOCTORS are EVERYWHERE!!! 🤣🤣🤣

"This, too, shall pass". ALWAYS true.
