What are the reasons this individual is facing criticism from those who identify as socially conscious (i.e., woke people)?

I just don't understand what's wrong with the intellect of most people across the globe. I mean, not a word Anthony Mackie uttered is incorrect. He said nothing but the truth. Why is it so hard to digest the truth?🤷‍♂ The young generation in the last few years has been given so much leverage that most of the stuff they do and choices they live with don't make sense at all. This sitting with the kid and talking approach is doing no good to the kids. The classic dad's belt and mom's frowning face approach needs to come back. Sugarcoating is never helpful; be harsh and candid with your kid, especially when he/she is over 9. The overprotection and overcare will only make your kid sissy. There's no harm in keeping a close watch on a child's actions. Kick the "his/her life, his rules" out of your house before your kids are 18. Let them know who's the boss of the house till the time they are with you.

I completely support Anthony Mackie for highlighting the aspect that is clearly missing not only in American society but almost everywhere in the world. Stop your kids from making the wrong choices before it's too late. I know not every parent is bad when it comes to parenting, but most parents today are quite liberal with their kids. It's usually the kids of such parents who are found on Instagram, TikTok, and OnlyFans accounts when they are minors for such networks. Fact: Take it, or leave it! 🧑‍⚖

We are moving forward with or without the least intelligent. Old backward thinking and tactics do not work for a modern civilized society.
He said nothing of masculinity in the video, he spoke of the "loss of the American Male," and to a degree he is right. He wasn't referring to the loss of masculinity, he was referring to the loss of manners that the modern American Male has lost. He is right, America has become so casual, that it doesn't realize how low class it has become, but that doesn't mean we bring back the backward ways. The old ways, and old tactics to child rearing, were only a survival tactic, and not in anyway a means of progression.
We are the most intelligent species of human beings that have ever walked the face of the Earth, so we no longer should believe that kicking our children out of our homes, simply because our children disagree with us, is not a path to progression. Those who set that old standard are not the ones to lead us into the future.
In reference to the "kick the child out," logic, is "rule number one:" never trust a man who will turn his back on his child.

Happily I don't need to resort to violence to instil good discipline in my household. Physical punishment is a weak response by those who have already lost control.

@SunshineGirlThis very approach is responsible for the destruction of the society today. These "My poor baby" talks are doing no good, but women like you will never understand it.

Physical punishment is a weak response by those who have already lost control.
So, the high-ranking officers of the military resorting to harsh punishment for the cadets failing to accomplish the training is a sign of them losing control of them. This is why most (not all) women don't make good frontline soldiers. The women who endure pain and respect the hard training become the best spies. A so-called woke feminist like you will never understand it.

I wish the military drills and discipline became mandatory for schools. Then, we'll see for how long this "my life, my rules" lasts.

I saw that myself. Many people need guidance right now.
SoLeRiMix · 36-40, M
@Lisafriend27 I am glad that you agree with me. Thank you!😇🤝
You don't understand "woke"...

But I think your notion of beating kids isn't what he's getting at...

I think it's really revealing to see how conservatives define 'Woke' when they're under oath:

Now seriously, dude, what does systemic injustice have to do with whether or not parents choose to use corporal punishment?? Where's the connection???

The same kind of mentality that thinks when young kids play on sports teams the first time, they all deserve a trophy...rather then rewarding just the kids that really achived it
SoLeRiMix · 36-40, M
@Midlifemale Yes, that is the dumbest thing to do. There was a time when encouragement for every young kid was expressed through participation certificates, but the medals were given only to those who performed beyond expectation.
He said "they literally killed masculinity in our homes."

How? He never explains this. He's repeating a fascist talking-point without further elaboration. If you're going to say something that the fascist Right says all the time, you better be able to explain what you mean in a way that has some reality.
SoLeRiMix · 36-40, M
@BohemianBabe There's nothing fascist about what he said. Parents are supposed to inculcate discipline in their child right from the beginning, but are parents doing so? Every daughter is treated as "Daddy's Angel", and son is treated as "Mama's Boy". This love gets to their head easily because they know they just have to make a sad face, and they will get the job done. It wasn't like this 20 to 30 years ago. Parents have ruined their kids by giving them their space.

Do you see young kids helping their parents with grocery shopping?

Do you see young kids mowing the lawns?

Do you see young kids fearing their parents actions if they are caught doing wrong?

Do you see young kids refraining from doing things that they are not supposed to do?

Do you see young kids understanding the importance of time and education?

Do you see young kids confronting bullies by themselves?

Most young kids clearly do not understand and do any of this because detaching yourself from the phone is onerous now.

All of this happened because of the "let it go" attitude of parents. Fathers aren't like what fathers used to be 20 to 30 years ago. There was a time when the kid would tremble with fear if his father raised his voice. You don't see that anymore now. The one who does so, the moment he raises his voice, there's a mom who will rush to guard her cub. A lioness guards her cub only till the time he's timid; once it starts growing up, the lioness begins the training under the supervision of the lion.
@SoLeRiMix
There's nothing fascist about what he said.

Technically yes, but this is a common talking-point by the fascist Right. It's part of their conspiracy theory that Marxist Jews are trying to destroy masculinity. So if you're going to use one of their talking-points, you really need to be able to explain exactly what you mean, but he didn't do that here. He didn't explain who "they" is or how masculinity has been killed.

Every daughter is treated as "Daddy's Angel", and son is treated as "Mama's Boy". This love gets to their head easily because they know they just have to make a sad face, and they will get the job done. It wasn't like this 20 to 30 years ago. Parents have ruined their kids by giving them their space.

Even if that's true, that doesn't have anything to do with masculinity, nor did he say it did.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I am glad that you agree with what I said. Your approach may be different, but we have the same goal.😇👍
