Why is human sexual interaction likened to 'performing acts of service' like it's some sort of business transaction?

Saying like 'performing cunnilingus', etc. makes me feel very uncomfortable. It's not a stage show.

Isn't it meant to all 'flow' together not be categorised as singular 'acts of service' when one is engaging in passionate things with a lover?

You’ve thought about this to the point where you’ve made an issue where there isn’t one.

@AdmiralPrune I believe it is an 'issue' because women expect men to 'perform' both in and out of the bedroom yet do not offer anything in return thinking their body is the only thing they need to bring to a relationship. So the idea of 'performing sexual acts' as a singular concept seems very hollow as it's not the 'acts' and how they are 'performed' that define the real meaning of the bond and connection that a relationship is supposed to be built around.

@zonavar68 But we expect them to perform to, and frankly I enjoy it - perhaps too much, being on my third child.

@AdmiralPrune Agreed if we must 'perform' then so must they. 8-) Otherwise it's not a level playing field lol

or is it more like a musical genius performs when they play their instrument?
