How well do you handle Change?

🤔..huh... scary to say this ..but quite well. Practice makes perfect!
Matter of fact I kinda like the challenge of change.
Well...I've learned that change is good for you sometimes. ....even when it's frightening and confusing.

I usually pay with card these days 👛🪙

Not well at all.

CPTSD makes me very allergic to change but I have improved. Three years ago I could have a mental breakdown over a sudden change of plans. Or something unexpected but trivial like, someone took the laundry time I had planned. Or not finding a certain pair of jeans.

Today the change curves feels less dangerous and I have a chance to hit the break before ending up in a ditch.

Please describe this change you speak of 🤔 Trying a new dessert or finding myself homeless....sigh

I’ve gotten much better at it over the last handful of years where I had no choice. Still do a lot of wistful sighing for what was, but at least I can acknowledge it won’t kill me and I’ll probably even get something cool out of it.

Well, I thought I handled breast cancer pretty well, then two years later I was laid off from a job I had for over 30 years, and at one point I thought it broke me. Now, big changes like that are very difficult, so the one I’m working on now, I’m taking in baby steps and so far so good. But when I first considered it, I did not handle it well. Basically, I don’t handle it well, and will wonder if at some point someone might have to collect the pieces that end up scattered to the winds.

Always Adaptable. Roll with the changes and stay on my feet.

I'm set in my ways and like things to stay somewhat.....regular.

It depends on what had changed.
If its relocating to another place I'm happy to change and enjoy new surroundings.
But if its habits that I've had all my life then I'll be a stubborn mule and wont budge!

I got through one big change a few years ago, I'm sure nothing will match it for some time.

Changes in life are expected, even predictable...people move on, pass on , jobs change, friends move away etc. so while it's one thing to to intellectualize, it's another from the emotional standpoint. I guess for me, since I am so used to chaos, my expectations allow me process change pretty well...Hope your changes are good ones.

The one I am going through is exhilarating but physically taxing.

Depends on what sort of change. Change in people's feelings, behavior or presence towards/with me, not well at all.
Some other types I welcome.

Pretty well primarily because my life has always been in constant change..

Typically I handle it well, even embrace it. I often say "The only constant in life is change".

There are some changes that I love and try to make happen and others I dread. Usually, I'm moderately adaptable.

I put it in a big jar and save it. Then eventually when it gets full I cash it in for bills at the bank.

I don't think anyone likes change.
Some of us are just better at adapting

I think from the outside it would appear pretty well. But, internally I’m a basket case

Change is constant so you have to be adaptable of you get left behind

I eat change for breakfast. And, then I live change for lunch.

Terribly unless it's an instant change for the better.

Sometimes well, sometimes not so well. Tech changes drive me crazy. But I am enjoying other life changes and doing new things.

Accept, adapt, move forward!
