I believe that actual personality will unfortunately matter less and less. It was and is always about the looks, anyway.

Even money will not matter, only if the looks are there. It takes money to have the looks.

This will take millennium to change, if even the attempt is made. Human nature has been historically horrendous. Even with the few that had the looks.

Only the fact that time can go forward is a redeeming factor to the cyclical ugliness of human nature.

So most will call me cynical or a pessimist! History still proves me right.

That's been going on forever. The movie and fashion industry have always pushed unrealistic expectations on women. With plastic surgery, gobs of makeup, and other enhancements, actresses and models are all freakishly thin, unnaturally endowed, with never a wrinkle or any other imperfection. They are discarded when they get too old, with younger and younger girls replacing them. AI won't change anything.

@AbbeyRhode

If I wanted scrawny or spindly gals I’d go to BiAfrica. I’d much rather a gal with something to grab on to.

Especially in the good areas!

I mean... that beauty standard stuff people have been hit with has already been happening eons before AI... so yeah? maybe?
We all still look like aging tree sloths regardless i think. lol. it's fine.

I'm more concerned with the westernised ideal of beauty being imposed on other, traditional ethnic ideas of beauty. If you look at a lot of AI images of ethnic women (and men), whether it be Asian, African, whatever, eyes are widened, noses are slimmed, lips sculpted, skin lightened, all to fit a generic western ideal of beauty. It's a form of eugenics, manipulated by AI and it's extremely dangerous.

Obviously and when/if said people actually meet the disappointment will be HUGE!!!!!!
PinkMoon · 26-30, F
That's already happened.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Possibly but this quest for unreal perfection is nothing new. AI would simplymake it easier.
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
@ArishMell Well, I see that in my Kevin. Which some people like A dont :)
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
I think popular culture is partly responsible for that already.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
That's already happening. Here's a list of myths I've seen on the internet from guys who have clearly never seen a woman naked before:

Women don't have body hair.
Women don't have a bulge in the front of their pants.
Women don't have a slight pooch above the waistline, and women who do are overweight and out of shape.

All of these myths are harmful as hell the real women, and ignore the beauty that can be found in a real human body.
ninalanyon · 70-79, TVIP
The world is already separated into those who add appreciate reality and those who expect airbrushed 'perfection'.

I doubt that AI will do much more than accelerate the speed with which the latter become disappointed.
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
Screw Artificial Intelligence!
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
Don't know. I've never use AI
Sutten · 41-45, F
Yes, but nobody’s flawless, expecting that is just unrealistic.
DancesWithWolves · 56-60, M
I ignore Al cause it is driving people nuts.
faery · F
Only those who seek plasticized perfection
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
@faery Couldn't have said it better, myself.
Magenta · F
Oh for sure a high possibility. Probably already occurring for some.
Look at what many men post and look at their albums, it's all those type of images. Enhanced, over young ,not depicting a real woman who shows she has lived.
Potentially, yes. But it would be so foolish to be caught up in that illusion, because all it will lead to is frustration and loneliness.
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
Nah. It doesn’t go that deep. Or at least shouldn’t.
