I believe in kindness towards all, with the exception of those that try to hurt me, even then I'll be kind if I can but some people mistake kindness for weakness.
It's usually more towards those whom need it most, especially animals and the down trodden.
I believe a large majority of people are selective who they give it to, based on conditions or our own selfish preferences, which can make it more of a performative kindness aka manipulative.
@Magenta Thing about animals, they aren't inherently evil. They do not have the brain capacity to process evil. They have instincts and they act on those instincts. Some are wonderful and some are dangerous. And a lot of them are our food.
In America, (where the POOREST of the poor can come here, work hard and get rich) the downtrodden are there voluntarily.
Of course I know this, they do not have morals as (some) humans do. But I have the most kindness aka compassion towards those whom suffer at the hand of man.
"Downtrodden" referring more to the abused and neglected.
Everyone is selective, but that doesn't mean they won't extend kindness to a stranger. Most people will not help someone that is known to be unworthy, and there are some very unworthy individuals in this world.
I'm kind in general but I have a few exceptions who I don't extend my empathy to. Child abusers . Pedophiles. Rapists . Anyone who harms animals and elderly people.
Kindness toward all does not apply to those who are cruel to others for no discernible reason. People who wish to participate in "kindness for all" need to have the same attitude.
